Artykuł podejmuje problematykę spójności decyzyjnej w małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach rodzinnych. Spójność decyzyjna jest kluczowym czynnikiem utrzymania ciągłości działania przedsiębiorstw. Pojęcie analogii może być w tym sensie ważnym elementem spójności decyzyjnej. Celem artykułu jest próba identyfikacji roli spójności decyzyjnej z uwzględnieniem analogii w codziennych działaniach w przedsiębiorstwie. Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. W badaniach wykorzystano metodę wywiadu pogłębionego.

The article discusses the issue of decisional coherence in family and small and medium enterprises. Decisional coherence is crucial aspect of maintaining the continuity of the business. The notion of analogy can be thus key element of decisional coherence. The objective of the article is to recognize the role of decisional coherence with the emphasis on the notion of analogy in everyday actions of an enterprise. The article is of theoretical and empirical nature, as well. The research involved in-depth interviews.

Questions of attraction to tasks of aviation technical designing of the regularities of general nature which are earlier not used in this field which are on a joint of basic problems of modern natural sciences, technology, philosophy and the new directions of science which treat, for example, synergy, and others are considered. A conceptual design of civil and transport airplanes with representations of the seven basic laws of the design is offered: 1. Thought or mental associated with the formation of the idea, as well as the visualization of forms and structures designed object. 2. The law of analogies. 3. The Law of Vibration. 4. The law of opposites. 5. The law of cycles and rhythms. 6. The Law of Cause and Effect. 7. Law of design and creativity. The approach to formation of new hierarchy of the criteria of design based on the analysis and synthesis of these laws is also offered. The task of the structural formation and composition of the energy space design, allowing determining the grid of power lines and types of elementary energy and the crystal structures of the elements is considered. Seven basic laws of design are presented and described on a number of examples. The space of design is described with use of the scheme of the Tree of Life divided into ten Spheres of the Worlds which are forming four levels of manifestation: the Design ideas; Realization of Ideas (thinking process); Radiation (including emotions and feelings); Action (implementation), and also division of each of these spheres into sublevels. Possibility of calculation and use of discrete power levels to the description and characteristics of the projected products, and tendencies to replacement of usual options on integrated, hybrid and morphing are shown.

W artykule przedstawiono metodykę harmonogramowania przedsięwzięć budowlanych realizowanych w systemie potokowym, z zastosowaniem modelu czasowo przestrzennego. Zaproponowano model obliczeniowy czasów realizacji procesów budowlanych z uwzględnieniem zjawiska niepewności danych i ich skutku na przebieg procesu oraz na termin zakończenia zadania inwestycyjnego. Wykorzystuje on pojęcia perspektywy zdarzeń oraz horyzontu czasowego. Podjęto próbę adaptacji modelu matematyczno-fizycznego do szacowania terminów zakończenia budowy.

The paper presents the methods of scheduling construction projects realized according to the pipelined workflow system and with the use of the space-time model. A model of calculating the time of realization of construction projects has been proposed taking into consideration the data uncertainty and its effects on the progress of the process and the date of completion of the investment. It makes use of the concepts of the perspective of events and the time horizon. It also attempts to adapt the mathematic and physical model to the assessment of the time of construction completion.

Evaluation of automatic updates of Roget’s Thesaurus

Thesauri and similarly organised resources attract increasing interest of Natural Language Processing researchers. Thesauri age fast, so there is a constant need to update their vocabulary. Since a manual update cycle takes considerable time, automated methods are required. This work presents a tuneable method of measuring semantic relatedness, trained on Roget’s Thesaurus, which generates lists of terms related to words not yet in the Thesaurus. Using these lists of terms, we experiment with three methods of adding words to the Thesaurus. We add, with high confidence, over 5500 and 9600 new word senses to versions of Roget’s Thesaurus from 1911 and 1987 respectively. We evaluate our work both manually and by applying the updated thesauri in three NLP tasks: selection of the best synonym from a set of candidates, pseudo-word-sense disambiguation and SAT-style analogy problems. We find that the newly added words are of high quality. The additions significantly improve the performance of Roget’s-based methods in these NLP tasks. The performance of our system compares favourably with that of WordNet-based methods. Our methods are general enough to work with different versions of Roget’s Thesaurus.

Włoski architekt Aldo Rossi (1931-1997) jest nie tylko autorem charakterystycznych budynków, szkiców architektonicznych i projektów z zakresu wzornictwa, ale przede wszystkim twórcą autorskiej teorii architektury neoracjonalnej, mistrzowsko wyłożonej w licznych esejach i rozprawach naukowych. Jego manifest twórczy L'Architettura della città, opublikowany w 1966 roku, stanowiący zbiór podstawowych zasad kształtujących tę teorię, wielki architekt Peter Eisenman przyrównał do teoretycznych traktatów okresu renesansu. Jako dopełnienie tego dzieła w roku 1981 Aldo Rossi napisał poetycką, naukową autobiografię - słynną A Scientific Autobiography, w której już bardzo osobiście pisze na temat architektury, nie unikając kontekstu własnych przeżyć. Dopiero poznanie obydwu publikacji pozwala docenić poetycki wymiar jego surowej architektury. Twórczość projektowa Aldo Rossiego była następstwem jego neoracjonalnej teorii architektury. Do uznanych projektów "manifestów" jego teorii projektowania są blok mieszkalny na osiedlu Gallaratese 2 na Monte Amiata w Miedolanie oraz częściowo zrealizowany cmentarz w Modenie. W obydwu przykładach Aldo Rossi zastosował autorską metodę typologii i analogii. Minęło pół wieku od początków twórczości Aldo Rossiego, mimo to jego teoria projektowania, nie tracąc nic z aktualności spostrzeżeń, z upływem lat zyskała na znaczeniu, a jego łatwe do rozpoznania obiekty architektury oraz inne realizacje, szczególnie te z początkowego okresu twórczości, nadal budzą emocje i zainteresowanie.

The Italian architect Aldo Rossi (1931-1997) is not only the author of characteristic buildings, architectural sketches and design projects; he is, first and foremost, the author of the theory of the Neo-Rational architectural style, presented in a masterly fashion in numerous essays and scientific treatises. His creative manifesto L'Architettura della città, published in 1966, constituting a collection of basic principles shaping the theory, the prominent architect Peter Eisenman compared to the theoretical treatises of the Renaissance. As a supplement to this work, in 1981 Rossi wrote his famous poetic A Scientific Autobiography, in which he writes very personally on the subject of architecture, without avoiding the context of his own experience. It is only by reading both works that we can appreciate the poetic dimension of his severe architectural style. Aldo Rossi's designs were the consequence of his Neo-Rational theory of architecture. Among the most recognized of his projects "manifestoes" of his design theory are a block of flats on the Gallaratese 2 estate on Monte Amiata in Milan and the partly finished cemetery in Modena. In both cases, Rossi used his own method of typology and analogy. Half a century has past since Aldo Rossi began his work, but his design theory, without losing any of its currency, has gained in importance, while his easily recognizable architecture and other projects, especially those from the early years of his career, continue to awaken emotions and interest.

Kondycję badań naukowych w architekturze można poznać po relacji projektu i techniki. Jedność dwuczłonu przedstawienie-konstrukcja określa kulturę projektu, który powinien nie tylko rozwiązywać kwestie funkcjonalne, ale poszukiwać istoty konstrukcji jako procesu formalnego badając relację pomiędzy ideą formy a rezultatem.

Article is a sort of a mission statement to bring again architecture and the city in the center of the debate, as a place for ideas and art. In the relationship between the project and the techniques you can find a new and antique condition of the scientific research in architecture. The unity depiction-construction defines a culture of the project which should not only solve functional issues, but investigates the essence of construction as a formal process, as a necessary path studying the relationships between an idea of form and its achievement.

The Abstraction Based Connectionist Analogy Processor (AB-CAP) is a trainable neural network for analogical learning/inference. An internal abstraction model, which extracts the underlying relational isomorphism and expresses predicate-argument bindings at the abstract level, is induced structurally as a result of the backpropagation training coupled with a structure- pruning mechanism. AB-CAP also develops dynamically abstraction and de- abstraction mappings for the role-filler matching. Thus, the propositions including both known and inferred ones can be expressed by, induced as, stored in and retrieved from the internal structural patterns. As such, there is no need for AB-CAP to use rule-based symbolic processing such as hypothesis making and constraint satisfaction or pattern completion checking. In this paper, AB-CAP is evaluated by using some examples. In particular, incremental analogical learning by AB-CAP shows that the internal abstraction model acquired from previous analogical learning acts as a potent attracter to bind a new set of isomorphic data, manifesting the analogical memory access/retrieval characteristics of AB-CAP.
