Elicitation is a core business analysis/requirements engineering activity that provides inputs for others like analysis, specification, confirmation, management. There is a significant number of specialized techniques that are used for requirement elicitation. The selection of the appropriate techniques considerably influences a project plan and success of a change as a whole. This paper is intended to analyze the industrial standards and experience of business analysts and requirement engineers in the part of elicitation activities. We conducted a survey study involving 328 specialists from Ukrainian IT companies and a series of interviews with experts to interpret the survey results. Furthermore, this paper provides the guideline in selecting a particular elicitation technique with respect to the type of project and situation.

This paper deals with autonomous vehicles. This could be considered a utopian goal nowadays but recent advances bring it closer than ever. Automation of the actuators involved in the management of a car, and control of the steering wheel constitute two of the most complex issues involved. We here describe an automatic power steering architecture to manage the steering wheel via an Ethernet controller. An on-board PC is connected to the controller to permit handling by computer generated signals. An electric car has been equipped with the system, and we present the results of tests of the behaviour of the system in real situations on the private driving circuit at the IAI facilities.

Artykuł dotyczy pojazdów autonomicznych. Ich budowa mogłaby zostać uznana jako cel utopijny, jeśli by nie najnowsze osiągnięcia techniki. Najbardziej skomplikowana jest w tym przypadku automatyzacja siłowników umożliwiających kierowanie samochodem oraz regulację kierownicy. W niniejszej pracy opisano architekturę systemu automatycznego wspomagania kierownicy poprzez sterownik Ethernet obsługujący sygnały generowane przez komputer pokładowy. Przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych zachowania się opracowanego systemu, stanowiącego wyposażenie samochodu elektrycznego i testowanego w warunkach rzeczywistych na torze jazdy wydzielonym w IAI.

W artykule podjęto próbę rozwiązania problemu integracji modelu obiektowego systemu informatycznego z częścią realizującą funkcje interfejsu dla relacyjnej bazy danych, a także częścią odpowiedzialną za obsługę graficznego interfejsu użytkownika. Opisywane rozwiązanie dotyczy platformy Borland C++ Builder. Opracowane zostały projekt i implementacja biblioteki komponentów nazwanej skrótem BMU (od ang. Business Model Utility).

This article presents the description of the concepts, design and implementation of the component library created by the authors of the article for the Borland C++ IDE. The library enables programmer to separate the business functions from the database integration and the GUI functions.

This paper presents the task of optimization of the work of the generalized water management system according the obligatory quality rate. By the generalized water management is meant the system m reservoirs suppling water to many n aglomerations with unlimited structures of connection betweens reservoirs and aglomerations. For solving the optimization problem the Pontriagin's principle of maximum and matrix calculus were used.
