Automated Business Process Discovery (alias Process Intelligence, Process Analysis, Workflow Mining or Process Mining) includes methods, standards and tools to support the discovery and analysis of operational business processes. Paper aims to review ongoing standards for storing and managing event log data, which is starting point for process mining, and verify in what range chosen standards meet the needs of event log analysis. We discuss CWAD, BPAF, PROV-DM, PROV-O, MXML, SA-MXML, and XES formats. Findings of the paper are based on the literature review and analysis of selected software.

Architektura Zorientowana na Usługi (SOA) to koncepcja technologii informatycznych prowadząca do wsparcia automatyzacji procesów biznesowych firmy z zastosowaniem zasad dynamicznego biznesu. SOA wymaga integracji różnych procesów, aplikacji i technologii z istniejącymi możliwościami informatyzacji systemów zarządzania. SOA jest prostą kontynuacją tego wszystkiego co IT zbudowało w latach wcześniejszych. Urokiem SOA i BPM jest prostota z jaką końcowi użytkownicy mogą zintegrować różnorodne swoje systemy w komponentową aplikację funkcjonującą w firmie.

Service-oriented architectures are helping companies do everything from automate business processes to increase agility, but implementing the technology is not necessarily forthright. SOA requires the integration of many varied processes, applications and technologies that are difficult to mesh seamlessly, meaning incompatibility, scalability and flexibility issues often arise. SOA is simply the next evolution of what IT has been building over the years. It is not a hard concept to understand, but it is hard to implement correctly. The beauty of SOA and BPM is the simplicity it brings to the end users by integrating various back end systems so they look like one composite application to the user.
