This article aims to analyze the choice of location for an organic recycling plant for biodegradable waste prepared for small and medium-sized enterprise investments. The analysis is based on a mathematical multi-criteria selection of the best solution, taking into account all the circumstances and making a full description of the selected options. A point analysis of selected locations is made – expert evaluations using the appropriate evaluation criteria - technical, legal, geographical, economic, social.

n 2007 we started works under the grant commissioned by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education concerning the aspects of ageing in Poland. One of the sub-projects within the framework of the grant prepared by staff of the Silesian University of Technology and Silesian University is focused on the investigation of the living conditions of seniors in selected housing environments. This is the first interdisciplinary research undertaken in this field in Poland and, accordingly, a very challenging methodological and organizational task. The scope of the paper is the presentation of its course and organization.

W 2007 r. rozpoczęła się realizacja grantu zamawianego Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego mającego na celu zbadanie aspektów starzenia się ludzi w Polsce. Jeden z podprojektów przygotowywany przez pracowników Politechniki Śląskiej i Uniwersytetu Śląskiego poświęcony jest badaniom warunków zamieszkania ludzi starych w wybranych środowiskach zamieszkania. Jest to pierwsze w Polsce tego typu badanie o charakterze interdyscyplinarnym i w związku z tym stanowiące poważne wyzwanie metodologiczne i samej organizacji badań. Artykuł omawia przebieg i organizację tych badań.

W referacie zaprezentowano wyniki wykorzystania metody badawczej służącej kompleksowej ocenie atrakcyjności rynkowej elektrowni i elektrociepłowni zawodowych oraz sposoby ich wykorzystania przez kopalnie węgla kamiennego w swoich działaniach marketingowych. Proces analityczny oparto na idei marketingu partnerskiego oraz narzędziach wielowymiarowej analizy porównawczej i analizy eksperckiej. Prezentację proponowanej metody poparto przykładem obliczeniowym w oparciu o wyniki badań sektora energetyki zawodowej i Kompanii Węglowej SA.

The paper presents the construction of a method used for detailed survey of power and power- and- heat generation plants' market attractiveness, which in the author's opinion could become a basis for creating marketing of coal mines in Poland. In the construction of this method the partnership marketing idea was used and the analytical process was based on multidimensional comaprison analysis and expert analysis tools. To ilústrate the proposed method the paper contains an example based on a survey of the power generation industry and Kompania Węglowa S.A.
