This article examines several options of Polish military contingent redeployment from the allied operation in Afghanistan. There is a detailed analysis of potential transport corridors, transit times, costs, security of personnel and military equipment. Based on the above mentioned analysis air transport for personnel is recommended. There are also several variants of military equipment movements taking into account its importance, sensitivity and size.

I have tried to conduct my research work to deepen my knowledge about Logistics in Allied Operations. My work is about how ammunition supplying is being done when we talk about Multinational Support in Allied Operations. In the introduction a new strategy of Allied Joint Operations was explained. The first chapter shows how the changes of the new strategy affected all the military structures responsible with the ammunition supply and also the role of each structure in the whole process. Ammunition supply points, where presented in details because they have the most important role. The second chapter contains the main procedures that are being done in order to provide ammunition from the strategic level to the lowest tactical levels. The operational level confronts the biggest challenges and I used a real example to explain that.

Wśród stosunkowo licznych już opracowań naukowych i popularnonaukowych dotyczących udziału Polskiej Marynarki Wojennej w działaniach sojuszniczych z baz Wielkiej Brytanii nadal niestety brak jest pełnej monografii na temat wojennych losów okrętów spod biało-czerwonej bandery. Jednym z tych okrętów, który nadal nie doczekał się należnego mu miejsca w polskiej historiografii jest ORP „Jastrząb”. Ten były amerykański okręt podwodny wpisał się bardzo mocno w dzieje Polskiej Marynarki Wojennej. Jego tragiczne dzieje stanowią treść artykułu. Powstał on głównie na podstawie dokumentów znajdujących się w Archiwum Instytutu Polskiego i Muzeum im. Generała W. Sikorskiego w Londynie.

Drama of ORP "Jastrząb" Among relatively numerous science and popular-science publications related to contribution of the Polish Navy to allied operations carried out from bases in Great Britain there is unfortunately an absence of exhaustive monographic publications on fates of ship flying the white and red flag. One of the ships which has not received the proper place in Polish historiography is the ORP ‘Jastrząb’. This ex-American submarine distinguished herself in the history of the Polish Navy. The paper deals with her tragic history. It is based on documents from the Archives of the Polish Institute and Museum in London.

At the turn of the century air force was relatively frequently used to solve international and domestic crises. The most widespread "area” of its activity comprises operations to enforce no-fly zones and other zones of denied access. The no-fly zones enforcement operations conducted over northern and southern Iraq, Bosnia and Herzegovina are permanently engraved in the air force history of NATO, the USA, Great Britain, France and Turkey. However, the article stresses that the way of air force activities in this type of operations derives from colonial wars of the 1920s and 1930s. The airspace control implemented by the Royal Air Force (RAF) was accepted as a model development. In the operations discussed in the article such as "Provide Comfort”, “Northern Watch”, Southern Watch”, Deny Flight’’, and "Deliberate Force”, the attention was drawn to the most important events connected with using air force that, according to the author, greatly influenced the course of peacekeeping process in Bosnia, Herzegovina and keeping a stable situation in the Persian Gulf. There have been shown different tasks and political and military conditions of these operations and also the influence of these factors on the size, structure and tasks of the air forces conducting these operations. The effectiveness of the air force performance in these, mostly long lasting, operations has also been discussed. In the conclusions, the author has presented some regularities appearing in the no-fly zone enforcement operations described above. Thus the thesis has been confirmed that air force is a perfect tool to support international organisations in keeping international security and world peace.
