Robust extremum seeking for a second order uncertain plant using a sliding mode controller

This paper suggests a novel continuous-time robust extremum seeking algorithm for an unknown convex function constrained by a dynamical plant with uncertainties. The main idea of the proposed method is to develop a robust closed-loop controller based on sliding modes where the sliding surface takes the trajectory around a zone of the optimal point. We assume that the output of the plant is given by the states and a measure of the function. We show the stability and zone-convergence of the proposed algorithm. In order to validate the proposed method, we present a numerical example.

W pracy zajęto się problemem projektowania optymalnych struktur kompozytów włóknistych tak, aby element konstrukcyjny wykonany z tego materiału spełniał stawiane wymagania w zakresie określonych własności mechanicznych i wytrzymałościowych. Do poszukiwania optymalnych rozwiązań opracowano hybrydowy system optymalizacyjny, składający się ze współpracujących ze sobą algorytmów: ewolucyjnego i gradientowego.

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of optimal design of two-dimensional structures made of fibre-reinforced composite materials subjected to service loading. The problem of optimal design of fibre shape or orientation and fibre density in the composite so that the structure should satisfy assumed requirements in the range of material mechanical properties is discussed. The hybrid optimisation algorithm, consists of a sequence of evolution and gradient-oriented procedures, is applied during design process.

W pracy przedstawiono model matematyczny maszyny indukcyjnej w stanie ustalonym, w którym uwzględniono zjawisko nasycania się rdzeni magnetycznych stojana i wirnika. Zbiór parametrów tego modelu obejmujący: rezystancję stojana i wirnika oraz współczynniki określające analityczne postaci syntetycznych charakterystyk sprzężeń magnetycznych pola głównego oraz pól rozproszeń wyznaczono na podstawie charakterystyki biegu jałowego oraz charakterystyk mocy czynnej i biernej stojana w funkcji prędkości obrotowej wirnika.

The paper presents the steady state mathematical model of an induction machine in which a saturation effect in the stator and rotor cores has been taken into account. The set of this model parameters consisting of stator and rotor resistances and coefficients describing the analytical form of the synthetic characteristics of the main and leakage flux linkages has been estimated from the motor no-load steady-state characteristic and from the dependencies of the stator active and passive power on the rotational speed.
