The paper focuses on the issue of making the music composition process automatic that can be placed within the frames of machine learning. In the work the author presents methods for algorithmic composition based on human-defined compose rules and rules extracted from sample music. Moreover, author's algorithmic composition system is presented in which the composition process is modelled as a states sequence, where states describe selected parameters of a music pattern.

Praca skoncentrowana jest na problematyce automatyzacji procesu komponowania muzyki, która może być umiejscowiona w ramach machine learning. W pracy zostały ukazane metody komponowania algorytmicznego oparte na zasadach kompozycji zdefiniowanych przez człowieka oraz komponowaniu opartym na regułach uzyskanych z przykładowych utworów. Zaprezentowano również autorski system komponowania, w którym proces komponowania zamodelowano jako sekwencję stanów, będących opisem wybranych parametrów muzycznego wzorca.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken a leading role in many activities which used to be made "by hand"; one of them is the musical composition. Such task now has another alternative implementation, through the support of software that can compose different musical genres to the point where a computer can compose pieces with some autonomy. This paper proposes Armin, a system dedicated to the electronic trance music composition. Armins aim is to provide a trance music composition to serve as a template or a base audio file, ready to add more instruments in a mastering (remastering) production Additionally, it seeks to enable greater collaboration between a machine and a human, both seen as musical composers.
