Complex acoustic climate of urban space is an integral part development of civilization. It is well known also that the ambient noise level significantly affect the quality of life in the city. There is also a factor negatively affecting your body reducing the comfort of living and productivity. At the same time some of the annoying sound sources, we can not eliminate. Because the vibration and noise generated by trams are a regular part of urban vibroacoustic climate their impact on the environment must be recognized and minimized. In this article author defines the concept of the vehicle vibroacoustic activity and submit use the pass-by test in description of vehicle features under normal operating conditions. This paper presents the assumptions and methodology of the proposed experimental research. A preliminary study on the possibility of a comprehensive description of vibroacoustic properties of various types of trams in the study in situ condition is presented. Author also presents selected results of research carried out on trams operated in Poznan (Poland).

Największą wadą pojazdów szynowych jest ich znaczne oddziaływanie na środowisko poprzez generowanie drgań i hałasu w czasie jazdy. Dynamiczne procesy zachodzące przy kontakcie koło-szyna w połączeniu ze strukturalnym oddziaływaniem pudła pojazdu składa się na szeroko rozumianą aktywność wibroakustyczna pojazdu. W artykule przedstawiono przekrój zagadnień związanych z analizą i wykorzystaniem wibroakustyki do oceny własności eksploatacyjnych tramwajów. Zilustrowano przykładami możliwości pozyskania i wykorzystani informacji diagnostycznej o pojeździe i infrastrukturze jaką niesie sygnał wibroakustyczny generowany przez lekki pojazd szynowy typu tramwaj.

The biggest disadvantage of rail vehicles is their significant impact on the environment by generating noise and vibration while driving. Dynamic processes occurring at the wheel-rail contact, combined with the structural impact of the vehicle body is made up of vibroacoustic activity vehicle. The article presents a cross section of issues related to the analysis and use the vibroacoustics to assess the operating properties of trams. Illustrated with examples of possible acquisition and use of diagnostic information about the vehicle and infrastructure, which based on vibroacoustic signals generated by light rail vehicle.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań symulacyjnych dotyczących minimalizacji aktywności wibroakustycznej korpusu przekładni zębatej dużej mocy. Badania symulacyjne zostały przeprowadzone w oparciu o metodę elementów skończonych w systemie COSMOS/M. Wyniki badań symulacyjnych zostały potwierdzone pomiarami hałasu przekładni w warunkach przemysłowych.

A simulation method is used by finite element vibration analysis for the purpose of evaluating the sound power radiated from a gearbox. The proposed method is applied to multi stage high power gearbox. Evaluated power is in good agreement, with the power obtained from sound intensity measurement.
