Advertising, sales promotion, personal selling and public relation are some of the most important elements used in promotion. Airline promotional activity need to be adapted to the demand on the market. The most suitable advertising option for airline business will depend on target audience and what is the most cost effective way to reach as many of them as possible, as many times as possible. The advertising option chosen should also reflect the right environment for the product or service. The promotion policy helps the company keep control of the message it is sending about the good or service, as well as to dictate appropriate actions that employees can take when dealing with outside personnel. Promotion is one of the key elements of the marketing mix, and deals with any one or two-way communication that takes place with the consumer. The purpose of the article is to clarify what is difference between promotion and marketing activities and has to serve as a part of future prepared study material for students of University of Žilina.

Reklama, upusty, sprzedaż osobista i public relation należą do najważniejszych elementów stosowanych w promocji. Działania w zakresie promocji podejmowane przez linie lotnicze powinny być dostosowane do wymagań rynku. Najlepiej pasująca do branży lotniczej opcja reklamy będzie zależała od docelowego segmentu rynku i od tego, jaki sposób dotarcia do możliwie wielu klientów i możliwie często będzie najbardziej efektywny kosztowo. Wybrana opcja reklamy powinna także odzwierciedlać właściwe środowisko produktu lub usługi. Polityka promocji pomaga firmie utrzymać kontrolę nad komunikatem, jaki wysyła wraz z produktem lub usługą, jak również określić działania, jakie mają podjąć pracownicy kontaktując się z personelem zewnętrznym. Promocja jest jednym z kluczowych elementów marketingu-mix i zajmuje się każdym rodzajem jedno- lub dwukierunkowej komunikacji z klientem. Celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie, jaka jest różnica pomiędzy promocją a marketingiem; ponadto artykuł ma stanowić w przyszłości materiał do studiowania dla studentów Uniwersytetu w Žilinie.

Optimization and profitability approaches play a crucial and central role in airline industry today. The main problem is how to overcome complexity by providing effective route schedule with minimal empty seats. So we need capable tools to reoptimize existing flight routes or to offer new one instead. This research deals about the efficient heuristic algorithm for optimal transportation of N different passenger contingents between ending points. We want to find out better transport plan with minimal transport cost for the route with more charging/discharging points (airports). Such optimization tool can help in sizing of appropriate airplane for definite direction, too.

Aproximación de la optimización y rentabilidad tiene un crucial y central parte en la industria de la aviación hoy. El problema principal es como superar la complejidad al proporcionar los horarios de la ruta efectiva con un mínimo de los asientos vacíos. Por tanto necesitamos mejor instrumentos para re-optimizar rutas de vuelos actuales o en vez ofrecer nuevas rutas. Este investigación se trata sobre el algoritmo heurístico eficiente para el trasporte optimo de N diferentes contingentes de los pasajeros entre puntos finales. Queremos encontrar mejor plan de transporte con los costes mínimos para las rutas con más puntos de recargas / descargas (aeropuertos). Esta herramienta de optimización puede ayudar en dimensionamiento del avión adecuado para la dirección definida, también.

Linie lotnicze, coraz częściej mają na uwadze wzrost bezpieczeństwa pasażerów oraz sposoby na uzyskanie pewniejszego zysku dla przemysłu lotniczego - i póki co odnoszą sukcesy. Ten artykuł pokaże, w jakim stopniu linie lotnicze inwestują w większe, bardziej ekonomiczne samoloty i nowe sposoby kontrolowania ruchu lotniczego, przy użyciu współczesnych technologii. Pokaże także, jak przemysł lotniczy stara się nadążyć za ogromnym wzrostem podróżowania w powietrzu, gwarancją komfortu i bezpieczeństwem pasażerów oraz wzrostem zysków.

Air travel often can be long, brutish, unprofitable, and unsafe. But it does not need to be like this. At the moment aviation is in a revolutionary stage. Airlines are dealing with the increasing safety concerns of their passengers and the ways the industry could become more reliably profitable.and they are succeeding. This paper will delineate how they invest in bigger, more fuel-efficient aircraft, and new ways of handling air traffic control through a raft of new technologies. It will also show that the airline industry is trying to keep pace with the explosive growth in air travel, guarantee the comfort and safety of its passengers and increase its profits.
