A goal of the paper is a presentation of new approach for condition management of aggregates driven by medium voltage electrical motors. The approach exclusively allows evaluation of stator technical condition. In the case of critical aggregates driven by motors with slide bearings over 60% of motor malfunctions is due to stator failures. Therefore, it is important to have a reliable tool that recognizes stator aging. The approach is an alternative for the partial discharge one, and uses high sensitivity current transformers. Postprocessing of signals connected to this malfunction-dedicated monitor allows On-Line information about stator aging progress.
