Detale były i nadal są dostrzegalne w architekturze mostów. Jednak podejście do detalu architektonicznego mostów obecnie jest inne, niż było w przeszłości. Dziś swoistość detalu zależy przede wszystkim od charakteru samego obiektu mostowego.
