Removal of natural organic contaminants in water was discussed in the paper. Based on the physic-chemical characteristic of alum hydroxide produced during the coagulation process and organic carbon a theoretical removal of these contaminants during alum coagulation and carbon adsorption was estimated. Research on removal of dissolved organic carbon during coagulation and carbon adsorption was conducted. The result showed that coagulation with high doses of coagulant was very efficient in removal of such contaminants.
