Indium tin oxide (ITO) films were deposited on soda-lime glass substrates by the spray pyrolysis method using a spray solution of InCl33H2O as a precursor, SnCl45H2O as a dopant and acetylacetone (AcAcH) as a chelating agent. The effect of the addition of AcAcH to the spray solution on the surface morphology of the ITO film was investigated. The surface quality of the film prepared from the spray solution with AcAcH was better than that without AcAcH. The ITO film with the thickness of 230 nm, using the spray solution with AcAcH, exhibited the lowest resistivity of 4.75 × 10􀀀4 Wcm and higher optical transmittance of 85 %, respectively.

The spectrum of the absorption index in the Mid-Infrared (MIR) region was determined for intramolecularly hydrogen-bonded liquid acetylacetone from transmission studies. In the MIR region very thin layers with thick nesses of a few micrometers had to be used to obtain reliable data. The keto-enol tautomeric equilibrium in the pure liquid was studied by Principal Components Analysis (PCA) of a set of temperature dependent MIR spectra in the range from 25 to 75 graduate C. Identifications for numerous bands observed in the liquid phase were proposed basing on the results obtained by means of the separation obtained in the loadings plot.

Nanocrystals of ZnO were prepared by microwave irradiation in water using Zn(II) acetate and acetylacetone (acac) as template. The ZnO obtained nanorods with hexagonal (wurtzite) structure were characterized by X-ray power diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), UV-vis absorption and FTIR spectroscopy.

EI spectra of acetylacetone, alkali acetylacetonates and acetylacetonates of alkaline earths of formulae M(I)(acac) and M(II)(acac)2 (where M(I)=LI, Na, K, Rb, Cs, M(II)=Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, acac= acetylacetonate ligand) were ibtained using mass spectrometry. Ligand-ions were observed in each spectrum. Metal cations were present only for the elements of group I. The detection of polymetric species of general formula [M(x)(acac)(y)](+) supports the conclusion, that polymeric species of acetylacetonates of group I and II are commonly present in the gas phase.

A vast array of colorants used in various industries include metal complex colorants, which are useful mainly in the textile industry. Substances to be used in fiber dyeing are expected to have optimum properties, therefore, such compounds remain to be of interest to researchers. The results of studies on the possible modifications of known colorants are presented in this paper.

This paper presents the development of mathematical models for positive and negative azeotropes in the range of the more volatile concentrations component: x∈[0; az] ∨ [az; 1]. The coefficients of these models, which, on their basis, were determined the relative volatility of α and the azeotrope concentration az, defined with the high accuracy (R2∈[0,926; 0,999]) and presented them to the table for all subjects of distillation systems. Based on these relationships, the integration of the mass balance equations of the distillation differential process d(Sx)=ydS was carried out and determined the dependence of the distillate obtained from 1 mole of pig iron D/S0 from the α, az coefficients and xw, xs concentrations. Based on these dependencies, charts D/S0 were prepared from predefined by the authors parameter t=[0,05; 0,25; 0,5; 0,75] which is the change in the concentration of pig iron in the process of concentration. Dependencies, presented for distillation balances of positive and negative azeotrope, in the tested ranges, for similar values of α, have the same mileage. The calculations were made for the 126 distillation systems.
