Accessibility to public transport is a very important factor in determining the general transport accessibility of a given area. Commonly, the bus is the only alternative solution for a car in mobility. However, it is not possible to ensure the same level of possibility of traveling by bus for each location. As a consequence, there may be areas excluded from the service when there are not enough bus connections. On the other hand, the presence of the main transport routes (e.g., regional and national roads), as well as railways, significantly increases the possibilities of mobility with the use of public transport. The aim of the article is to diagnose direct bus connections in the Wrocław agglomeration but only between the immediate surroundings of Wrocław and itself as a core. One of the secondary aims is to identify areas with limited access to those connections and to propose solutions to the diagnosed problems. Two rings of municipalities around the city have been designated as the area of the Wrocław agglomeration as the immediate surroundings of the core. The main research method is the analysis of collected numerical data and using the empirical Bayesian Kriging method to determine areas of different levels of accessibility to bus transport. In addition, the capabilities of PTV Visum made it possible to perform modeling of bus connections. The 2021/2022 timetables of bus connections providing direct access to Wrocław were taken into account. The results of the study are proposals for solutions that may constitute directions for the development of passenger bus transport in the Wrocław agglomeration in order to improve the accessibility of bus transport within the Wrocław agglomeration.

The construction of passenger stops of the railway transport has been proposed in order to operate the communication infrastructure of two housing complexes – the village of Mirków and the Residential Estate ‘the Four Seasons’ (Polish: ‘Cztery Pory Roku’), belonging to the agglomeration of Wroclaw. The possibility of the location of the stops within the existing infrastructure is considered. There are presented several variants of the solution to the track layout with passenger service facilities (platforms). The parameters are provided to use for the proposed railroad turnouts and the track pavement structure. In the case of the Estate ‘Four Seasons’ there are also discussed the conditions for the construction of the tram route enabling communication with the center of Wroclaw. The concept of the tram loop in terms of the location of the estate area and the geometric layout of tracks is presented as well.

Na początku artykułu opisano trasy kolejowe w okolicy Wrocławia. W dalszej kolejności omówione są elementy modelu podróży wykraczające poza dotychczas stosowane. Jako przykład modelu pokazano trasę Sobótka – Wrocław. Następnie omówiono propozycje nowych tras w okolicy Wrocławia. W podsumowaniu podano postulaty do modelowania podróży dla tras kolejowych.

The railway routes in the area of Wroclaw have been described at the beginning of the paper. Subsequently, previously not used elements of the travel model have been discussed. The route Sobotka - Wroclaw has been shown as an example of a model. The proposals for new routes in the area of Wroclaw have been then discussed. In conclusion, the postulates for travel modeling of railway routes have been shown in the paper.

Przeprowadzone prace miały na celu ocenę możliwości zaopatrzenia aglomeracji Wrocławia w wodę dobrej jakości ze zbiorników wód podziemnych. Badania skoncentrowano na GZWP wydzielonych w otoczeniu miasta. Wykonane numeryczne modele potwierdziły, że zasoby zbiorników kenozoicznych są odpowiednie, by lokalizować w nich duże ujęcia, które w znaczący sposób uzupełniłyby istniejący system zaopatrzenia mieszkańców. Zasoby dyspozycyjne wód podziemnych badanych obszarów oceniono na poziomie ok. 170 tys. m3/d. Oprócz stwierdzenia znaczących zasobów GZWP 322 i formalnie nieistniejącego GZWP 321-E w optymalizacji modelowej wykazano możliwość ujęcia 15 tys. m(3)/d ze struktury bogdaszowickiej, włączonej do wschodniej części GZWP 319, na zachód od Wrocławia. Moduł odnawialności infiltracyjnej obliczono na 3,0 1/s km(2) .

The aim of the research was to evaluate capability of giving furtherance to the water supply system in the Wrocław agglomeration from groundwater reservoirs. They focused on MGWBs in the vicinity of the city. Numerical model calculations prove that groundwater resources of Cenozoic structures are appropriate for localising large intakes to significantly support the Wrocław water supply system. Disposal groundwater resources in the study areas were evaluated at -170 000 m3/d. Apart from indicating the groundwater resources in the MGWB 322 and the formally cancelled MG WB 321 -E, it was also shown the possibility of extraction of 15 000 m(3)/d from the Bogdaszowice structure included in the MGWB 319. Recharge from infiltration was evaluated at 3.0 1/s km(2).
