Hardware watermark token for VoIP telephony

The developed electronic device is a digital watermark token used to authenticate the subscriber in VoIP telephony. The device converts the signal in real-time, full-duplex, allowing simultaneous embedding of a watermark in the speech signal, as well as the extraction of the binary signature of a watermark on the receiving side of the Internet VoIP link. This paper presents a procedure for subscriber authentication in VoIP telephony and the structure of the hardware token, along with a functional diagram.

Opracowane urządzenie elektroniczne stanowi token cyfrowego znaku wodnego wykorzystywanego do uwierzytelniania abonenta w telefonii internetowej VoIP. Urządzenie przetwarza sygnał w czasie rzeczywistym, w pełnym dupleksie, pozwalając na jednoczesne osadzanie znaku wodnego w sygnale mowy jak również ekstrakcję binarnej sygnatury znaku wodnego po stronie odbiorczej łącza internetowego VoIP. W artykule przedstawiono procedurę uwierzytelniania abonenta w telefonii VoIP oraz budowę sprzętowego tokena wraz ze schematem funkcjonalnym.

Telefonia VoIP w Polsce z roku na rok zyskuje na popularności. Polska, jak się okazuje, jest rekordzistą na arenie międzynarodowej w liczbie operatorów VoIP. Jeszcze dwa lub trzy lata temu VoIP w naszym kraju raczkował, a obecnie zdaje się stanowić świetną alternatywę dla tradycyjnej telefonii stacjonarnej. Czynnikiem decydującym o popularności tej telefonii są zdecydowanie niższe ceny telefonii internetowej w porównaniu z telefonią stacjonarną oraz wiele usług dodanych, które są niedostępne w tradycyjnej telefonii.

VoIP telephony in Poland from year to year gains on popularity. Poland is record holder in the VoIP operators number on the international arena. VoIP in our country crawled two-three years ago still, and seems at present to make up the excellent alternative for traditional fixed telephony. Decidedly lower prices of internet telephony and a lot of services added are factors influencing popularity of that alternative telephony in the comparison with fixed telephony.

W referacie omówiono sposoby realizacji telefonii VoIP w lokalnych sieciach komputerowych. Scharakteryzowano zjawiska występujące w sieciach VoIP. Przedstawiono przykład lokalnej sieci VoIP zrealizowanej w KWK JAS-MOS pomiędzy dyspozytornią i szybem peryferyjnym.

The modes of use of the VoIP telephony within the local computer networks have been discussed in the paper. There have been characterized the phenomena occurring in the VoIP networks. It has been presented an example of a local VoIP network made in the JAS-MOS mine between the mine control room and the peripheral shaft.
