Artykuł prezentuje zagadnienie dostępu do plików c3d w środowisku Matlab. Pliki c3d stanowią doskonały kontener do przechowywania danych ruchu wraz z zarejestrowanymi jednocześnie innymi danymi powiązanymi z zarejestrowanym ruchem. Uzyskanie dostępu do danych zapisanych w pliku i prawidłowe ich przetworzenie stanowi podstawę obróbki tak przechowywanych danych. Artykuł przedstawia zastosowania formatu plików c3d oraz implementację procesu dostępu do danych ruchu w środowisku Matlab.

The subject of c3d files access in Matlab environment is presented in the article. The c3d files are a very good container to keep the movement data and other one related to the registered movement. Access to this data and its correct processing are the base of its analysis and usage. Applications of the c3d files and the access to the data contained in this file type in Matlab environment are presented in the article.

Content available remote Changes of kinematic gait parameters due to pregnancy

When a woman becomes pregnant her body undergoes tremendous changes hormonally and anatomically. Our survey revealed very little literature on biomechanics of gait in gravidas and lack of consensus among scientists in pregnancy-related mechanisms of body adaptation. That is why the authors felt encouraged to determine the effect of pregnancy on the biomechanical pattern of walking. To investigate alterations in natural locomotion, we used a 3D motion-analysis system Vicon. The inclusion criteria aimed at selecting only healthy subjects (n = 13). Each woman participated in 3 sessions: before pregnancy, during the last trimester of gestation and, finally, half year after delivery. For the purpose of this study, selected kinematic parameters for pregnant and non-pregnant conditions were compared. Gravid women performed lower velocity of their gait and lower frequency of steps. The length of their step decreased in comparison to pre pregnancy state. The results did not reveal any changes in the range of motion of the ankle, knee and hip in different physiological conditions. However, we observed increased base of support and double support phase in gravidas comparing to non pregnant states (by about 10%). This finding indicates that there is a tendency to maximize safety in gait during pregnancy.

W pracy omówiono nowoczesne systemy analizy ruchu takie jak OptoTrack, Vicon, Zebris, Simi Motion oraz BTS-Smart, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem budowy i działania tego ostatniego. Dokonano podziału wyżej wymienionych systemów ze względu na zjawiska wykorzystywane w ich działaniu. Celem pracy jest ukazanie wad i zalet oraz wartości nowoczesnych systemów analizy ruchu w diagnostyce i rehabilitacji pacjentów oraz treningu sportowym.

In this study described a few modern systems to movement analysis (OptoTrack, Vicon, Zebris, Simi Motion, BTS-Smart). It performed classification with respect to physical mechanisms their rules of working. It showed advantage and disadvantage in practical use for different applications.

In the paper a new modular construction of the radial head endoprosthesis as well as the process of its verification and modification are presented. The construction was the result of transferring anatomical features and biomechanics of the elbow joint. The clinical observations of mobile modular endoprostheses that had been previously implanted were also considered. A characteristic feature of the new construction is a modular head that is firmly connected with the stem. Such a solution prevents from blocking and disconnecting the modules of the endoprosthesis, which occurred in its previous versions. The material and construction verification of the endoprosthesis will be performed using the finite element method. For that purpose, an anatomical model of the elbow joint has been generated on the basis of the tomographical images. The engineering analysis of the construction of endoprosthesis will prove its highly functional properties. The functionality of the implanted elbow by the gate analysis (in VICON system) is also examined.
