Zarządzanie procesem transportowym w obsłudze międzynarodowej wymiany towarowej wymaga znajomości wielu zagadnień, w tym zasad i form rozliczeń między kupującym i sprzedającym. Zastosowanie bowiem w kontrakcie uwarunkowanych form zapłaty, w tym akredytywy dokumentowej, powoduje, że dokonanie płatności uzależnione jest od spełnienia określonych warunków przez eksportera. Należy do nich warunek przedstawienia w banku określonych w treści akredytywy dokumentów. Jednym z tych dokumentów jest najczęściej dokument transportowy. Jego rodzaj, sposób i termin wystawienia, a także termin prezentacji w banku może decydować o uzyskaniu zapłaty przez eksportera. Stąd znajomość tych zagadnień jest niezbędna przewoźnikom i spedytorom, aby mogli oni – w szczególności zaś spedytor – służyć pomocą i poradnictwem w zakresie właściwego przygotowania dokumentów transportowych, a tym samym spełnienia wymogów wynikających z zastosowania jako formy zapłaty akredytywy dokumentowej. The paper presents the regulations of ICC Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 2007 revision, called UCP 600 and International Standard Banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Credits – ISBP, 2007 revision, relating to transport documents. Accordingly to UCP 600 documentary credit means any arrangement that is irrevocably and constitutes a definite undertaking of the issuing bank to honour a complying presentation. Complying presentation means a presentation that is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the credit, the applicable provisions of the UCP 600 and international standard banking practice. Transport documents are subject to articles 19–25 UCP 600 and points 68–169 ISBP. The knowledge of these regulations is necessary in management of transport, especially international transport. The carriers, their agents and freight forwarders could help the clients/exporters to fulfill conditions of documentary credit and prepare, in right way, transport documents.

This text is the first one of the series of articles concerning projects’ estimation in Enterprise Architect. In this section, theoretical aspects of function points methods have been presented. Part two entitled: “Example of the Application of the Use of the Case Points Method” constitutes an example along with mathematical calculations and part three entitled: “Project Estimation with the Use of the Method of Use Cases in Enterprise Architect” is a practical application of the function points method in Enterprise Architect.
