Twierdza srebrnogórska tworzy z malowniczo położonym poniżej miasteczkiem wyjątkowy kompleks turystyczny. Przez lata zapomniany i pozostawiony własnemu losowi obiekt forteczny znajduje się dziś w złym stanie technicznym i wymaga przeprowadzenia licznych prac zabezpieczających i zabiegów konserwatorskich. Tajemniczy klimat miejsca przyciąga amatorów różnych form turystyki i wypoczynku. Kilka lat temu Gmina Stoszowice powołała Forteczny Park Kulturowy w Srebrnej Górze. Działania te mają za zadanie uratowanie i adaptację do celów użytkowych tego niezwykle atrakcyjnego zabytku. Aktualnie stan techniczny twierdzy jest zły i w niektórych rejonach zagrożona jest jej stateczność. Główną przyczyną destrukcji murów fortu, zarówno zewnętrznych, jak i wewnętrznych, jest występowanie efektu przemarzania wywołanego niekontrolowanym od wielu lat spływem wód opadowych. W artykule przedstawiono projektowane prace zabezpieczająco-rekonstrukcyjne zmierzające do zahamowania postępującego procesu zniszczenia wywołanego brakiem skutecznej i szczelnej izolacji przeciwopadowej. Pozwoli to na udostępnienie tego niezwykle cennego zabytku.

The Srebrna Góra fortress, along with the town picturesquely situated below, forms an unforgettable tourist complex. Forgotten and neglected for years, the fortress is nowadays in poor technical condition and requires carrying out a great deal of protective treatment and restoration work. The mysterious atmosphere of the place attracts enthusiasts of various forms of tourism and leisure. A few years ago, the Stoszowice district established the Fortress Cultural Park in Srebrna Góra. These actions are aimed at saving and adapting this exceptionally attractive monument for practical purposes. The present technical condition of the fortress is poor, and in certain areas its stability is at risk. The main cause of the destruction of the fortress walls, both external and internal, is the occurrence of frost penetration produced by rainwater runoff uncontrolled for many years. The article presents the planned protective-restoring works aiming at stopping the progressing destruction caused by the lack of an effective and tight rainproof isolation. Such actions will enable the opening of this extremely precious monument.

Srebrna Góra fortress, bearing the name of a historic monument, has been effectively guarded within the confines of resiliently active Cultural Park. It constitutes an exceptional relic of fortification art on the European scale, and can play a leading role in re-composition of the landscape of Bardzkie and Sowie Mountains gorge. In order to make it a proper spatial dominant, it must be exposed from among the overgrowing it greenery. The Fortress Cultural Park is an implement which makes such an activity possible. However, a question arises: in what way should the trees be cut down in order to obtain the best composition, reconciling simultaneously the historical- architectonic values of the whole complex with ecology and protection of the natural environment existing there? The spatial image of the fortress underwent considerable changes during its 230 year existence. They were closely connected with the history of the stronghold, i.e. the evolution of the first-class military object in the 18th century into a prison, an engineer polygon, a tourist object and finally a forgotten ruin in the second part of the 20th century. A model of the contemporary panorama of the fortress and town seen from the side of Brudzew was taken as a basis for the analysis. While comparing the archival photographic materials, subsequent models of similar panoramic views from different historical periods were made. Srebrna Góra fortress has a chance to be the most attractive tourist fortress in Pradziad Euroregion, without being competitive for the fortresses in Klodzko and Nysa. On the contrary, the rank of the Euroregion and its meaning in European tourism will be strengthened. The form of exposing of Srebrna Góra fortress in the landscape becomes, in this context, of great importance.
