Artykuł prezentuje zarys historii stosowanych technik i przebieg procesu budowlanego w świątyni Hatszepsut w Deir el-Bahari w Egipcie. Na wstępie opisano wygląd świątyni z XV wieku p.n.e. i przybliżono postać jej fundatorki. Następnie w oparciu o źródła, badania laboratoryjne i terenowe prześledzono podstawowe materiały i techniki budowlane wykorzystywane podczas wznoszenia świątyni i odniesiono je do aktualnego stanu badań. Wstępne analizy poszczególnych elementów konstrukcyjnych pozwoliły wykazać przywiązanie do tradycji, a jednocześnie nowatorskie na ówczesne czasy rozwiązania, jakie wykorzystali budowniczowie świątyni. Całość wraz z uwzględnieniem wyników badań starożytnych procesów budowlanych pozwala podjąć próbę poszerzenia wiedzy na temat historii budowy świątyni w okresie Nowego Państwa w Egipcie.

This paper presents an outline of the history of the techniques used and the course of the building process in the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in Egypt. The introduction describes the appearance of the temple from the fifteenth century BC and discusses its founder. Then, based on the literature, laboratory and field studies, the basic building materials and techniques used during the construction of the temple were investigated and compared to the current state of research. Preliminary analyses of individual structural elements found and demonstrated attachment to tradition and, at the same time, solutions that were innovative for those times, used by the builders of the temple. The whole, together with the results of the study of ancient building processes, provides new insights into the history of the construction of the temple during the New Kingdom period in Egypt.
