Potrzebną do prawidłowego funkcjonowania systemów produkcyjnych ciągłość przepływu materiałów można uzyskać różnymi sposobami i metodami sterowania. The continuity of the flow of materials needed for correct operation of manufacturing systems can be achieved using different means and control methods. As far as the technical infrastructure is concerned, ensuring high reliability of machines, devices and whole manufacturing lines is an important task. These objectives can be achieved through the use of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Article present TPM analysis for pickling and rolling processes in tins Cold Rolling Mill in one of steelworks.

W artykule przedstawiono Total Productive Maintenance jako skuteczną metodą zwiększania ogólnej efektywności systemu produkcyjnego opartą na uaktywnieniu pracowników i włączeniu ich w rozwiązywanie problemów na stanowiskach pracy. Przedstawiono definicją i cele oraz etapy i korzyści wdrożenia TPM. Zaprezentowano również praktyczne wyniki i wnioski wynikające z zastosowania tej metody w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym.

In the article TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE is introduced as an effective method to increase the total efficiency of production system. This method works due to activating employees and integrating them into the process of solving their workstation problems. The definition, goals, stages and benefits of TPM method were presented. The conclusions drawn from implementing this method in a selected enterprise as well as practical results were also enclosed.
