Organizacja domen rutingowych w taktycznych sieciach łączności

The method of routing domains' organization that ensures reduction of the number of transmitted routing information in the national component of tactical communication network and provides acceptable convergence time of routing algorithm was depicted in this article. Particularly, procedures of dividing the system into routing domains, principles of selection of nodes for routing domains and procedure of selection of routing domains' leaders were presented. The article contains description of simulation tests and presents the results of experiments that confirmed the effectiveness of the solution proposed by authors. The proposed method could be used in the process of tactical communication networks planning.

W artykule omówiono metodę organizacji domen rutingowych zapewniającą ograniczenie ilości informacji służbowych przekazywanych w narodowym komponencie taktycznej sieci łączności oraz akceptowalny czas zbieżności algorytmu marszrutyzacji. Skupiono się na przedstawieniu procedur podziału systemu na domeny rutingowe, reguły doboru węzłów do poszczególnych domen oraz procedury wyboru lidera domeny rutingowej. Artykuł zawiera także opis badania symulacyjnego oraz prezentuje wyniki eksperymentów, które w pełni potwierdziły skuteczność rozwiązania zaproponowanego przez autorów. Opracowana metoda może być z powodzeniem wykorzystywana w procesie planowania taktycznych sieci łączności.

Pierwsza część artykułu zawiera propozycję nowego standardu rutingu w heterogenicznej sieci łączności, który w stosunku do standardowego protokołu został rozszerzony o parametry uwzględniające zarówno klasę, jak i jakość świadczonych usług (CoS - Class of Sen/ice; QoS -Ouality of Service). W artykule przedstawiono również koncepcję wali-dacji zaproponowanego rozwiązania przy użyciu narzędzia symulacyjnego OPNET, jak również scharakteryzowano model symulacyjny użyty do przeprowadzenia walidacji wspomnianego protokołu rutingu.

The first part of article is devoted to proposition of the new standard of routing protocol in heterogeneous communication network, which in re-lation to standard protocol was extended by parameters of elass and quality of provided services (CoS - Class of Service; QoS - Ouality of Service). Besides in the article there was presented the validation conception of proposed solution by OPNET simulation tool. The simulation model used for validation was characterized in details.

Developing standards for interoperability of tactical communications systems

The lack of interoperability in tactical communications systems has been a known fact in the North AtlanticTreaty Organization (NATO) since the end of the Cold War. This condition still exists today. The only alternative to obtain tactical communications systems with the interoperability necessitated by future operational requirements are through the establishment of NATO standards. This paper examines the tactical communications systems Post 2000 (TACOMS) project whose aim is to develop technical standards that will allow for achievement of interoperability between multinational tactical communications networks.
