Wielkie dzieła wymagają czasu, by dojrzewać. Szczególnie gdy są to przedsięwzięcia łączące ludzi z transcendencją. W porównaniu z Sagrada Família, budowaną od 141 lat, cmentarz leśny w Sztokholmie powstał bardzo szybko. Od ogłoszenia konkursu w 1915 r. do oddania ostatnich obiektów projektu minęło „zaledwie” 25 lat. Ale dzieło dojrzewało, kolejne elementy dodawane były choćby w latach 1961 i 2009.

The article discusses the 20th century history of urban development in Stockholm based on selected examples of housing estates. Since Stockholm has been a testing ground for many architects and planners for over a century, it is an ideal place for analysis, research and development of the concepts of housing and residential typologies. Over the years, various trends outlined clearly in architecture of the city and conurbations around.

W artykule omówiono historię rozwoju urbanistycznego Sztokholmu w XX wieku na wybranych przykładach osiedli mieszkaniowych. Sztokholm jest idealnym miejscem do analiz, badania i rozwijania koncepcji zabudowy i typologii mieszkaniowej, gdyż od ponad stulecia jest poligonem doświadczalnym wielu architektów i planistów. Przez lata różne trendy nakreśliły się wyraźnie w achitekturze miasta i przyległych zespołów miejskich.

Począwszy od marca 2016 r., firma Vistal Construction prowadziła montaż konstrukcji pomocniczej niezbędnej do rozbiórki istniejącego wiaduktu żelbetowego oraz budowy nowo projektowanego, stalowego wiaduktu drogowego w dzielnicy Västberga w Sztokholmie. Zastosowano metodę nasuwania podłużnego z łukami opartymi na pomoście i następnym ich podniesieniem na pozycję docelową. Dokumentację warsztatową i projekt technologii montażu (w tym nasuwania podłużnego) opracował zespół firmy GTI z Gdańska. Na ich podstawie firma Vistal Construction wykonała montaż konstrukcji stalowej wiaduktu.

Since March 2016, the Vistal Construction company has been conducting the assembly of a temporary structure necessary for the disassembly of the existing, concrete viaduct and the construction of the newly-designed, steel road viaduct in the Västberga district in the south part of Stockholm, Sweden. Due to the complex construction conditions, including the location of the viaduct above the main railway, an optimal technology enforced in this task was a longitudinal incremental launch with the arch sections supported on the deck, with the subsequent arch heavy lifting to the designed position. In order to use the technical equipment of the Vistal Construction company, increase safety of the works being conducted and reduce the usage of materials, it was decided that a new (and completely different from the Clients assumptions) Assembly Project would be designed. The workshop documentation, as well as the design of the assembly technology (including incremental launch) were prepared by the design team of the GTI company from Gdańsk. They were used by Vistal Construction to assemble the viaduct’s steel structure.

In the article entitled Cultural Heritage and Natural Protection in Suburban Areas and Outskirts of Stockholm Based on an Example of Historical Park- Garden Foundations the attention of the reader was drawn to green areas, both natural and founded by man which are under great concern in The Swedish Kingdom. Particular attention was paid to areas with not only natural value but also constituting cultural heritage on a domestic scale, and sometimes even the European one. Such objects include among others historical park-garden sets. The author of the present publication discusses in detail two foundations exemplifying different styles of garden art. These are: gardens of Gripsholm Castle and the palace park in Drottningholm. They are situated in Stockholm's suburban area on Melar lake. Both described sets have great value for Swedish culture. Moreover Drottningholm was included in UNESCO's relics of the past list in 1991, and Gripsholm Castle is one of ten Swedish Royal castles included in national cultural heritage. Restoration works undertaken in both cases are run with exceptional care and under the surveillance of authorised organs and public opinion.
