Artykuł dokonuje porównania Państwowego Gospodarstwa Wodnego Wody Polskie, będącego stosunkowo nowym podmiotem z funkcjonującym od wielu lat Państwowym Gospodarstwem Leśnym Lasy Państwowe, w szczególności, pod względem strukturalnym. Autor analizuje kompetencje tych instytucji w zakresie statusu prawnego, funkcji właścicielskich, wydawanych decyzji administracyjnych, czy uprawnień pracodawcy.

The article compares the Polish Waters National Water Management Holding (Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne Wody Polskie) and State Forests National Forest Holding (Państwowe Gospodarstwo Leśne Lasy Państwowe), in particular with regard to their structure. The author analyses the competences of these institutions in the scope of their legal status, ownership functions, issued administrative decisions or employer’s rights.

Over the centuries, arboreta and botanical gardens have performed a variety of functions, the most important being the collection and sharing of the various plant collections. Initially, these collections mainly included medicinal plants for the education of future physicians or pharmacists. The aim of this article is to show the significant role of these units in the forest and nature education. Conducting scientific research and making collections for educational and research purposes is carried out by botanical gardens primarily by providing access to the public to harvest in a manner that will not endanger the collection. Formal education is carried out in these units mainly through links with universities and through the organization of special educational activities (equivalent to museum lessons) for schools.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono ogólne zasady obowiązujące w trakcie sprzedaży drewna przez Lasy Państwowe. Omawiane poniżej zasady wynikają z norm prawnych oraz są regułami obowiązującego prawa. Ponadto, w pracy zostały przedstawione zasady obowiązujące w trakcie procesu wywozu zakupionego drewna z lasu. Informacje zawarte w publikacji mogą być przydatne dla osób planujących otworzenie działalności gospodarczej, związanej zarówno z obróbką, jak i transportem drewna.

This paper outlines the general principles governing the sale of timber by the State Forests. Discussed rules result from the legal norms and they are part of applicable law. In addition, the principles of the process of wood transportation purchased from the State Forests were presented. The information contained in this publication may be of interest to those planning to open a business, both in the wood pro-cessing and transportation sector.

The aim of the article is to demonstrate the functioning of the Forest Fund and to evaluate its use in terms of the financial support for the protection of natural resources.

W artykule przedstawiono zasady gromadzenia i wydatkowania środków Funduszu Leśnego oraz przeanalizowano wielkość i strukturę jego dochodów i wydatków. Ze względu na sposób prezentacji danych dotyczących kierunków wydatków Funduszu Leśnego przez PGL LP i GUS trudności sprawia dokładne oszacowanie, w jakim stopniu środki Funduszu są przeznaczane na działania służące ochronie zasobów leśnych. Można jednak przyjąć, uwzględniając specyfikę i zasady prowadzenia gospodarki leśnej w PGL LP, że większość środków Funduszu Leśnego wspiera ochronę tych zasobów.

The article attempted to analyze and assess the functioning of the computer system supporting the supply chain. It has been shown that the integrated information system is a system of organized modularly, supporting all areas of organization management. The evolution of information system focused on improving the management process is SILP organization, including its supply chain. Acer is planning software for planning of timber. It has high accuracy drawing up plans for timber. Powerful features allow you to specify parameters in the planning process.

Państwowe Gospodarstwo Leśne Lasy Państwowe gospodaruje lasami o powierzchni ponad 7,2 mln ha, co stanowi 78,1 % powierzchni wszystkich lasów; grunty leśne, zadrzewione i zadrzewienia zajmują natomiast 30,4 % powierzchni terytorium Polski (Centrum Informacyjne LP, 2009, Główny Urząd Statystyczny, 2009). Te liczby upoważniają do postawienia tezy, iż problem geoinformacji w Lasach Państwowych, ze wszystkimi jej aspektami a więc pozyskiwaniem, przetwarzaniem, wykorzystywaniem i udostępnianiem jest problemem ważnym i znaczącym w kontekście krajowej infrastruktury informacji przestrzennych. Co kilka lat (2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010) odbywają się, organizowane przez Dyrekcję Generalną Lasów Państwowych i Katedrę Urządzania Lasu, Geomatyki i Ekonomiki Leśnictwa (Zakład Geomatyki i Gospodarki Przestrzennej) SGGW, konferencje .System Informacji Przestrzennej w Lasach Państwowych.. Konferencje były okazją do podsumowania osiągnieć LP w zakresie zastosowań geomatyki w leśnictwie.

An attempt was made to assess the applications made so far and possibilities to use the most recent achievements of geomatics in the State Forests. The assessment is the subject of 5th Conference in the series .Spatial Information System in the State Forests.. The assessment covers: scientific research in the area of application of geomatics in forestry, implementation, new organizational and legal solutions (centralization of the Information System of the State Forests SILP, a new standard of the numerical forest map, a new instruction of forest management) and training aspects (i.a. the manual "Geomatics in the State Forests, part I . the basis").

Wpływ na to oprócz czynników ekonomicznych, kulturowych i tradycji, odegrały czynniki odgórne - normatywy, zalecenia, wzorce, a także szeroko stosowane rozwiązania lokalne. Lasy Państwowe jako jedyny właściciel obiektów są w stanie wypracować wzorce pozwalające określić tożsamość architektoniczną osad leśnych.

The Forest settlements stemming its origins from farmhouses are distinguished from them by their appearance. Impact on it, besides economic, cultural factors and tradition played the deciding factors like norms, recommendations, standards, and the widely used local solutions. The State Forests as the sole owner of the buildings are able to develop standards for determining the architectural identity of the forest settlements.

Zwiększenie udziału energii z odnawialnych źródeł, w energetyce globalnej naszego kraju, jest zjawiskiem nieuniknionym. Wśród obecnie dostępnych źródeł tej kategorii istotne znaczenie ma niewątpliwie biomasa leśna. Rezerwuarem drewna są lasy, które w większości zarządzane są przez Państwowe Gospodarstwa Leśne Lasy Państwowe. Planowa produkcja, szeroko rozumianego drewna przez Lasy Państwowe, jest w większości przeznaczona na cele przemysłowe, nie związane z energetyką. Istnieją jednak spore masy drewna pozaprodukcyjnego, które można przeznaczyć na cele energetyczne. Wskazanie potencjalnych źródeł tej masy drewna w Lasach Państwowych oraz przybliżone oszacowanie jej wielkości jest przedmiotem analizy artykułu.

Increasing the share of energy from renewable resources, in the global energy provision of our country, is an unavoidable phenomenon. Among the currently available sources of this category undoubtedly forest biomass has significant relevance. Forests are a reservoir of timber and the majority of them are administered by the State Forest Management of the State Forests. The planned production of timber in a wide sense by the State Forests, is mainly destined for industrial purposes and not connected with energy supply. However there exists a large mass of timber apart from what is produced, which might be designated for energy purposes. Indicating potential sources of these masses of timber in the State Forests and an approximate estimating of their size is the subject of the analysis of this paper.
