Rozwój integracji różnego rodzaju systemów automatyki i sterowania w obszarze zasilania urządzeń elektrycznych stanowi dzisiaj jeden z głównych obszarów rozwoju inżynierii elektrycznej. Artykuł prezentuje charakterystykę technologii Smart House w kontekście oceny czy jest to już ostateczne i gotowe rozwiązanie, czy wciąż idea przyszłości. Przedstawiono rolę zintegrowanego systemu sterowania i automatyzacji w inteligentnym budynku, jego możliwości i wpływ na efektywność energetyczną, a także problematykę komunikacji człowieka z budynkiem. Dokonano także analizy idei Smart House, konfrontując jej zalety i wady oraz potencjalne szanse i zagrożenia rozwoju.

The development of the integration of various types of automation and control systems in the field of power electrical equipment are today one of the main areas of development of electrical engineering. The article presents the characteristics of the Smart House technology in the context of the assessment: is it already final and ready solution or is it still the idea of the future. The role of integrated building automation and control system, its features and the impact on energy efficiency, as well as the issue of human communication with the building were presented. Analysis of the Smart House idea, confronting its advantages and disadvantages and the development opportunities and threats was also presented.

Smart city is connecting the physical, the IT, the social, and the business infrastructures to leverage the collective intelligence of the city. It strives to make itself smarter, i.e. more efficient, sustainable, equitable and livable. The purpose of this paper is to present the state of development of the Smart City infrastructure including smart buildings and smart grids as the fastest deployment drivers because of the widely available solutions for buildings relating to the efficient and economical use of equipment installed as well as existing legal framework for new energy market.
