This paper deals with the proposal of reconstruction of vehicle Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 4x4 to road-rail vehicle. At beginning of the paper general requirements for road-rail vehicles based on standard EN 15 746-1+A1 are mentioned, especially classification of road-rail vehicles, vehicle gauge and load ratios of rail wheels and road axles for road-rail vehicles. Then we continued with description and technical characteristics of chosen vehicle for rebuilding, its terrain ability and description of used four wheel drive system. The core of the paper is the proposal and creation of a suitable model of road-rail adapters for the selected vehicle while keeping the terrain drive ability of vehicle and following the valid standards for road-rail vehicle. At the end of the paper technical description of the chosen road-rail vehicle Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 4x4 is
