The unsteady hydro-magnetic free convection heat and mass transfer flow of an incompressible, viscous Boussinesq fluid over a moving isothermal vertical porous plate with variable mass diffusion in the presence of thermal radiation and first order chemical reaction between the fluid and the diffusing species under the influence of a uniform magnetic field applied normal to the flow are investigated. The fluid is considered a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering porous medium. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved numerically by using the Ritz finite element method. The results obtained are discussed with the help of the graphs and tables to observe the effects of various parameters such as [...]. The numerical values of the skin-friction coefficient are presented in a table. Results obtained show that a decrease in the velocity and temperature when the Prandtl number and the radiation parameter are increased and the flow velocity approaches steady state as the time parameter , is increased. These findings are in quantitative agreement with studies reported earlier.
