Infrastruktura transportu stanowi podstawowy i konieczny warunek rozwoju gospodarczego danego regionu. Sprawny system transportowy, spedycyjny i logistyczny jest czynnikiem stymulującym rozwój przemysłu. Dobre zmiany, jakie zaszły w ostatnich latach w Regionie przemyskim, zwłaszcza modernizacja infrastruktury transportu kolejowego, powstanie autostrady A4 oraz obwodnic miast, już przynoszą oczekiwane rezultaty w postaci rozwoju firm sektora transport – spedycja – logistyka. Sprawny system kolejowy wspomaga funkcjonowanie lokalnych i globalnych firm transportowych, spedycyjnych i logistycznych. Analizy zawarte w artykule dowodzą bardzo dużego potencjału Regionu przemyskiego oraz wskazują na główne kierunki rozwoju regionu, w oparciu o rozwój infrastruktury transportowej.

Transport infrastructure is an essential and necessary condition for economic development of the region. Efficient transport system, freight forwarding and logistics are factors stimulating the development of the industry. Good changes that have occurred in recent years in the Przemyśl Region (Poland), especially the modernization of rail transport infrastructure, creation of the A4 motorway and the city ring roads, already produce the expected results in the form of the development of the transport sector companies, freight forwarding and logistics. An efficient rail system contributes to the functioning of local and global transport companies, forwarding and logistics. The analyzes included in this report show a very high potential of the Przemyśl Region and indicate the main directions of the development of the region based on the development of transport infrastructure.
