Przegląd Odlewnictwa wpisał się skutecznie w promocję Międzynarodowych Targów Odlewnictwa METAL już od pierwszej ich edycji w 1995 roku. Dlatego nasze uczestnictwo w sesji jubileuszowej Przeglądu Odlewnictwa organizowanej właśnie w Centrum Targowym w Kielcach jest dla nas dużą satysfakcją. Poza skutecznymi krajowymi kontaktami Przeglądu Odlewnictwa, również kontakty z czasopismami zagranicznymi okazały się korzystne w promowaniu Targów METAL, które z roku na rok gromadzą coraz więcej wystawców zarówno z Polski jak i z zagranicy. W 1995 roku wystąpiło 75 firm z Polski i z zagranicy, natomiast już w 1999 roku blisko 250 firm z piętnastu krajów na całkowitej powierzchni ok. 5000 m2. Ponad sto firm reprezentuje liczące się kraje europejskie oraz USA. Targi odwiedza blisko pięć tysięcy fachowców zainteresowanych tematyką wystawienniczą. Centrum Targowe Kielce jako trzeci ośrodek targowy w Polsce z roku na rok umacnia swoją pozycję na rynku targowym. Co roku obiekty targowe są wzbogacone o nowe inwestycje, które przyczyniają się do zwiększenia możliwości ekspozycji dużych urządzeń, a także do stworzenia komfortowych warunków pracy wystawców i gości targowych.

Przegląd Odlewnictwa contributed efficiently to the promotion of the International Foundry Fair METAL since its first edition in the year 1995. Therefore our participation in the jubilee session of Przegląd Odlewnictwa organized just at the Fair Center in Kielce is for us a great satisfaction. Apart from the effective local contacts of Przeglad Odlewnictwa, the contacts with foreign journals proved to be favourable in promoting METAL Fair, which from year to year gathers more and more exhibitors both from Poland and abroad. In the year 1995 only 75 firms from Poland and abroad participated in the Fair, whereas in 1999 there were 250 firms from fifteen countries occupying the total area of about 5000 m2. More than 100 firms represent important European countries and the USA. The Fair is visited by nearly 5000 specialists interested in the exhibited subject matter. From year to year the Fair Center in Kielce - as the third one in Poland - strengthens its position on the fair market. Each year the Fair objects are enriched by new investments which contribute to the possibilities of exposing large equipment and also to create comfortable work conditions for the exhibitors and the Fair guests.

Można bez większego ryzyka określić tematykę zeszytów Przeglądu Odlewnictwa w następnym roku i w najbliższej kilkuletniej przyszłości. Wynika to z wprowadzonych już po zmianach społeczno-politycznych w 1999 r. nowych działach, które zostały dobrze przyjęte przez Czytelników. Pierwszym dążeniem Redakcji powinno być dalsze zwiększanie liczby prenumeratorów w wyniku zwiększenia atrakcyjności czasopisma, a także pomocy ze strony kół zakładowych STOP. Obok już zauważonych korzystnych nowych tematów, takich jak Gorąca Odlewnicza Linia, rozszerzonych kronik o informacje gospodarcze i społeczno-polityczne i nowego działu bieżącej zagranicznej literatury odlewniczej, autor proponuje dodać dalsze. Do nich zalicza zwiększenie informacji o tym, że pierwszym zagadnieniem we wszystkich obszarach jest dążenie do podnoszenia jakości, skupienie wysiłków nad stałym doskonaleniem umiejętności Czytelników, a także znajdowania w pracy pełnego zadowolenia i dumy z osiągnięć indywidualnych oraz z pracy zespołowej.

The subject area of the issues of Przegląd Odlewnictwa in the next year and in the nearest future can be foreseen without any greater risk. This results from the new problems which have already been introduced after the year 1999 when the social and political changes in our country had taken place. These new problems have been well-comed by our Readers. The most important aspiration of the Editorial Staff of Przegląd Odlewnictwa should be further increase in the number of subscribers being both a result of the growing attraction of the monthly and of the help coming from the circles of the Polish Foundrymen's Technical Association acting in factories and industrial plants. Apart from the already noticed interesting new topics, such as e.g. "Hot Foundry Linę", morę news about the economic, social and political information will be published and a new section of the current foreign foundry literature will appear. The author suggests to add some morę ones. They will include, among others, morę information about the fact that the most important problem in all subject areas must be the aim of improving the quality, the concentration of the efforts on the constant development of the Readers' skills and of fmding fuli satisfaction and pride in the work which arise from individual achievements as well as from the team-work.

Informacja jest najcenniejszym towarem. Coraz powszechniej uznaje się to stwierdzenie. Redaktorzy "Przeglądu Odlewnictwa" wiedzą o tym od pięćdziesięciu lat. Pismo jest tym samym najważniejszym filarem działalności Stowarzyszenia Technicznego Odlewników Polskich. Ładna szata edytorska, regularność wydawania, a nade wszystko staranność i rzetelność są piękną wizytówką polskiej braci odlewniczej. Na ręce obecnej Redakcji, której siłą jest redaktor naczelny "Przeglądu Odlewnictwa" Jan Marcinkowski, składam gorące gratulacje i życzenia wielu jeszcze sukcesów i jubileuszy.

Information is the most valuable article of trade. This statement is more and more commonly acknowledged. The Editors of Przegląd Odlewnictwa have known this fact for fifty years. This magazine is at the same time the most important pillar of activities of the Polish Foundrymen 's Technical Association. Attractive get-up of the monthry, regular publication and, first of all, care and reliability form a beautiful card of the Polish foundrymen. To the present Editorial Staff, whose driving force is Mr Jan Marcinkowski, the Editor-in-Chief of Przegląd Odlewnictwa, I would like to address warm congratulations and sincere wishes of more success and jubilees.
