In this paper, we derive the Pontryagin’s maximum principle for optimal control problems governed by nonlinear impulsive differential equations. Our method is based on Dubovitskii-Milyutin theory, but in doing so, we assumed that the linear variational impulsive differential equation around the optimal solution is exactly controllable, which can be satisfied in many cases. Then, we consider an example as an application of the main result. After that, we study the case when the differential equation is of neutral type. Finally, several possible problems are proposed for future research where the differential equation, the constraints, the time scale, the impulses, etc. are changed.
This paper provides an analysis of time optimal control problem of motion of a material point along a horizontal axis, without friction. The point is controlled by a power directed along this axis. An absolute value of the power is limited by one. The velocity in the reverse direction is also limited. In the analysis of this problem, the maximum principle is applied.

We present a brief survey of the nonsmooth maximum principle of optimal control, focusing, in particular, upon the alternative forms of the adjoint equation. We obtain a new version of the theorem that asserts for the first time the full Weierstrass condition together with the Euler form of the adjoint equation, thereby extending a result of de Pinho and Vinter. The new theorem also features stratified hypotheses and conclusions. Two examples illustrate its use.
Wyniki analityczne i numeryczne zostały następnie zastosowane do optymalizacji kształtu różnego rodzaju belek i łuków.

The article presents the application results of an algorithm, called hybrid algorithm of parametric optimization, compounded by a genetic algorithm and a classic algorithm, in solve the two point boundary value problem in case the Pontryagin maximum principle is used to synthesize the optimal speed control of the induction motor. The optimization of I he control consist:, in minimizing the electric power losses in the magnetic core of the motor, limiting the amplitude of the stator current. The solution of the two-point boundary value problem is carried out for different indexes of parametric optimization using the genetic algorithm, the classic algorithm or both algorithms consecutively. These investigations allow establishing the most convenient index and the algorithm from the accuracy solution and the computer calculation speed point of view.

W pracy przedstawiono metodę planowania ruchu manipulatora w przypadku opisu ścieżki w postaci krzywej sparametryzowanej q(λ).

This paper is concerned with planning time optimal motions of robot in the presents of geometrical constrains which a parameterise curve. The time optimal controls are derived based on the Pontryagin Maximum Principle. Tha bang-bang types of controls are obtained. An analysis of controls of a plan of manipulator motions and a sequence of switching on extremals is determined.

An approach to planning optimal collision-free motions of robotic manipulators is presented. It is based on using a variational formulation of the Pontryagin Maximum Principle which handles efficiently various control and/or state constraints imposed on the manipulator motions, which arise naturally out of manipulator joint limits and obstacle avoidance. In contrast to the penalty function method, the proposed algorithm does not require an initial admissible solution (i.e. an initial admissible trajectory) and finds manipulator trajectories with a smaller cost value than the penalty function approach. A computer example involving a planar redundant manipulator of three revolute kinematic pairs is included. The numerical results are compared with those obtained using an exterior penalty function method.
