Constructing a Research and Development ecosystem in the PGZ capital group

The article presents the paths of organizational work leading to the construction of a strong ecosystem in the area of research and development at the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ - Polish Armaments Group). The tasks of the Innovation Policy implemented within the Group companies on the initiative of the Department of Innovation and Technological Development (DIRT) are discussed. The importance of the proposed model of an integrated R&D management system, supposed to result in increasing the competitiveness of the companies, is emphasized.

W artykule przedstawiono realizowane kierunki prac organizacyjnych prowadzących do budowy silnego ekosystemu w obszarze badań i rozwoju w Polskiej Grupie Zbrojeniowej (PGZ). Omówiono zadania Polityki Innowacyjności wprowadzanej w spółkach z inicjatywy Departamentu Innowacji i Rozwoju Technologicznego (DIRT). Podkreślono ważność proponowanego modelu zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania pracami B+R mającego w efekcie przynieść zwiększenie konkurencyjności spółek.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ - Polish Armaments Group) has an established system for protecting employees against discrimination and ill treatment which is described in detail in the Anti-Mobbing Procedure. In 2016, PGZ recommended to the daughter companies of the Capital Group the implementation of the most important documents in the field of ethics, in particular the Code of Ethics and the Anti-Mobbing and Anti-Corruption Procedures. OBRUM, a member of the Group, developed a set of internal documents establishing high standards and rules of conduct regarding broadly understood ethics in interpersonal relations. The article presents issues related to ethics, mobbing and corruption based on the procedures adopted for use by OBRUM. The role and tasks of the Ethics Committee established at OBRUM are also discussed.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) posiada zdefiniowany system ochrony pracowników przed dyskryminacją i złym traktowaniem, szczegółowo opisany w obowiązującej Procedurze Antymobbingowej. W roku 2016 PGZ rekomendowała spółkom córkom, wchodzącym w skład Grupy Kapitałowej, wdrożenie najważniejszych dokumentów z obszaru etyki, w tym przede wszystkim Kodeksu Etyki oraz Procedur - Antymobbingowej i Antykorupcyjnej. Ośrodek Badawczo Rozwojowy Urządzeń Mechanicznych „OBRUM” sp. z o.o., wchodzący w skład Grupy, opracował zestaw wewnętrznych dokumentów ustanawiających wysokie standardy i zasady postępowania dotyczące szeroko rozumianej etyki w stosunkach międzyludzkich. W artykule przedstawiono kwestie dotyczące etyki, mobbingu i korupcji na podstawie obowiązujących w OBRUM sp. z o.o. procedur zawartych w przyjętych do stosowania dokumentach. Omówiona została także rola i zadania powołanej w Ośrodku Komisji ds. Etyki.

This article attempts to assess the experience of American and European consolidation of the defence industry and to identify the essential factors that may affect such consolidation in Poland. Against this background, a draft assessment of previous activities to consolidate the defence industry in our country is being presented with original preliminary assessments and recommendations concerning the desired direction of further restructuring of this sector. Concentrating on companies from the defence sector is often perceived as the right reaction to achieve changes in the security environment, technological progress and a country’s financial opportunities. The decision on the consolidation of the Polish defence industry, establishing control over the Polish Military Group by the State Treasury, is in line with the endeavours of NATO and European Union countries.
