The article concerns the reconstruction, renovation, and change of use of the Ballestrem Palace building from residential-serving to commercial, along with the expansion of the underground floor and the revitalisation of the historic garden adjacent to the building. The Ballestrem Palace was built in 1898-1899 as a result of the reconstruction of a previously existing building. The building is divided into a central body and two-story side wings with an attic. The central part is topped with a belvedere covered with two gables facing the street and the garden. The construction works carried out included the renovation of existing facades, the replacement of floors, the strengthening of foundations, vaults and brick arches, and the reconstruction of the attic to create a usable terrace on the roof. The interior of the building was partially rebuilt according to conservation guidelines, adapting it to the new function and restoring the original spatial structure of the building.

Artykuł dotyczy przebudowy, remontu i zmiany sposobu użytkowania pałacu Ballestremów z mieszkalno-usługowej na usługową wraz z rozbudową kondygnacji podziemnej oraz rewitalizacją ogrodu przylegającego do obiektu historycznego. Pałac Ballestremów powstał w latach 1898-1899, w wyniku przebudowy wcześniej istniejącego budynku. Bryła budynku dzieli się na korpus centralny i dwukondygnacyjne skrzydła boczne z użytkowym poddaszem. Zwieńczenie części centralnej stanowi belweder zasłonięty dwoma szczytami od strony ulicy i ogrodu. Przeprowadzone prace budowlane obejmowały renowację elewacji, wymianę stropów, wzmocnienie fundamentów, sklepień i łuków ceglanych oraz przebudowę poddasza w celu uzyskania tarasu użytkowego na dachu. Wnętrza budynku zostały częściowo przebudowane, zgodnie z wytycznymi konserwatorskimi, w sposób dostosowujący do nowej funkcji i przywracający oryginalną strukturę przestrzenną obiektu.
