Analysis of integrated management system of the quality, environment and occupational safety

Purpose: In this article the analysis of integrated management system of quality, environment and occupational health and safety was presented. The functioning of such system on the selected enterprise was discussed. Design/methodology/approach: The new standards of PN-EN ISO 9001:2015, PN-EN ISO 14001:2015 were presented. Also, the occupational health and safety management system according to the new ISO 45001 standard was shown. The necessity of the management systems integration was presented. Findings: In this paper the changes in PN-EN ISO 9001:2015, PN-EN ISO 14001:2015 were presented. The advantages and disadvantages of the integrated management system in the selected enterprise were shown. Practical implications: The most important changes in ISO standards for quality, environment and occupational health and safety were presented. There is also significant to show the faults in implementation and operation of the integrated management system, what will protect other organizations before such problems. Originality/value: In this paper indicated that only proper implementation of the integrated management system based on PN-EN ISO 9001, PN-EN ISO 14001 and PN-N-18001 could provide real benefits. Otherwise, it is an unnecessary waste of time and money.

Artykuł podejmuje aktualną problematykę dotyczącą praktycznych aspektów oceny ryzyka zawodowego, która stanowi wiodący element strategii ochrony pracy w Unii Europejskiej i w Polsce. Przestawiono tu wybrane zasady oceny ryzyka zawodowego, kryteria klasyfikacji metod oceny ryzyka, źródła informacji i metody zbierania danych, metody identyfikacji zagrożeń, metody szacowania ryzyka.

The paper presents the current issues concerning the practical aspects of occupational risk assessment, which is the main element of a labour protection strategy in European Union and Poland. The are presented some principles of occupational risk assessment, criteria for classification of risk assessment methods, and also sources of information, methods of data collection, methods of hazard identification, methods of risk estimation.

Coraz częściej w firmach i koncernach bezpieczeństwo oznacza więcej niż ograniczenie się do oceny ryzyka i analizy wypadków. Działalność w obszarze BHP powinna stanowić integralną część zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Zgodnie z dyrektywą ramową nr 89/391/EEC kraje UE są zobligowane do wdrażania norm związanych z BHP. Najczęściej stosowanym i uznawanym standardem dotyczącym systemów zarządzania BHP, nadającym się do każdego przedsiębiorstwa, jest międzynarodowy system zarządzania OHSAS 18001, a w kraju PN-N-18001.

Nowadays, in modern companies and enterprises, safety means much more than only the evaluation of risk and analysis of accidents. The activities in the area of the occupational health and safety should form an integral part of the enterprise management system. According to a framework directive no 89/391/EEC the EU member states are obliged to implement standards related with the occupational health and safety systems. The standard most popular and used most commonly, as applicable to enterprises of any type, is the international OHSAS 18001 system and in Poland Polish Standards PN-N-18001.
