W połowie 2005 roku zaznaczył się wzrost zapotrzebowania na odlewy produkowane z użyciem masl wiązanych żywicą furanową. Aby dostosować się do wymogów rynku, Odlewnia Żeliwa Śrem SA podjęła zadanie inwestycyjne obejmujące wykonanie nowoczesnej, wydajnej instalacji regeneracji mas formierskich wiązanych żywicą furanową. Po analizie różnorodnych rozwiązań technicznych wybrano suchą, mechaniczną technologię regeneracji zaoferowaną przez niemiecką firmę AAGM GmbH. Realizacja inwestycji, już po krótkim okresie eksploatacji, przyniosła oczekiwane efekty ekonomiczne.

In the middle of the year 2005 the increase of the demand for castings made after the technology of furan sand moulds was evident. For adapt itself to the market requirements the Iron Fourndry Śrem SA made the decision to install a modern, efficient reclamation plant for furan moulding sands. After carrying out an analysis of different technical solutions there was choosen the dry, mechanical reclamation technology offered by the German firm AAGM GmbH. Realization of this investment has brought already after a short time of startin the attended economic effects.

Z początkiem roku 2001 w Odlewni Żeliwa "ŚREM" SA miał miejsce start produktywny zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem SAP R/3. Przygotowania do procesu wdrożenia rozpoczęto w roku 2000. W artykule omówiono czym jest systemzarządzania klasy MRP II, ideę jego wprowadzania, charakterystykę systemu, konieczną infrastrukturę informatyczną oraz ogólny przebieg procesu jego wdrożenia w Odlewni Żeliwa" ŚREM" SA. Z uwagi na wielkość odlewni, stopień skomplikowania procesów produkcyjnych i ogromną ilość danych podstawowych koniecznych do wprowadzenia, wdrożenie systemu zarządzania, podzielono na dwa etapy, które z fazą przygotowawczą przewidziano na lata 2000-2002. Pierwszy etap obejmuje jeden ciąg technologiczny tj. Centralną Wytapialnię, Wydział Odlewów Ciężkich i Wydział Obróbki Mechanicznej.

At the beginning of the year 2001 at the "Śrem" Iron Foundry Ltd a production start of the integrated system of enterprise management SAP R/3 took place. The preparations for the implementation process began in the year 2000. The article deals with the following probems: the management system of the class MRP II; the idea of its implementation; the characteristic of the system, the necessary informative infrastructure; the general course of the process of its implementation at the "Śrem" Iron Foundry Ltd. Taking into account the size of the foundry, the complicated level of the production process and the great amount of the basic data necessary to be introduced, the implementation of the management system was divided into two stages which together with the preparatory stage were foreseen for the years 2000-2002. The first stage comprises one technological course, i.e. Central Melting Shop, Heavy Castings Department and Mechanical Working Department
