Wstęp i cel: System liczebnikowy języka norweskiego jest podobny do systemów występujących w innych językach skandynawskich, z grupy germańskiej. W artykule przedstawione zostaną systemy liczebnikowe języków duńskiego, norweskiego, szwedzkiego oraz islandzkiego, przeprowadzona zostanie także analiza porównawcza form liczebnikowych danych języków. Materiał i metody: Analiza tekstów i materiałów źródłowych, pozwala na komparatystykę liczebników w systemach gramatycznych wspomnianych języków. W artykule zastosowano metodę analityczno-porównawczą. Wyniki: Przedstawienie ciekawych form użycia form liczebnikowych w języku norweskim daje możliwość pogłębienia edukacji w zakresie systemu liczebnikowego danego języka, zaś porównanie wyników analiz interesujących przykładów z sytuacją występującą w języku polskim, pozwala na uzyskanie szerszej perspektywy badań. Wniosek: Artykuł ma charakter edukacyjny oraz porównawczy i analizuje sytuację językową w zakresie liczebników, występującą głownie w języku norweskim oraz przedstawioną poprzez pryzmat języków skandynawskich oraz języka polskiego.

Introduction and aim: The Norwegian numeral system is similar to existing systems in the other Scandinavian languages, from the Germanic group. The article presents the numeral systems of Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic languages, and a comparative analysis of numerical forms of given languages will be carried out. Material and methods: Analysis of texts and source materials allows comparison of numerals in grammatical systems of the mentioned languages. The article uses the analytical and comparative method. Results: Presentation of interesting forms of the use of numeral forms in Norwegian gives the opportunity to improve the education in the field of the numeral system of a given language, while the comparison of the results of interesting examples and the situation in Polish allows for a wider research perspective. Conclusion: The article is educational and comparative and analyzes the language situation in terms of numerals, occurring mainly in Norwegian and presented through the prism of the Scandinavian and Polish languages.

Gdy warunki geologiczne są zmienne, a siatka sondowań czy odwiertów badawczych stosunkowo rzadka, zdarza się, że trzeba korygować zaprojektowane rozwiązanie w zależności od rzeczywistych warunków gruntowych poprzez tzw. aktywne projektowanie. Tak też było na budowie w Norwegii, gdzie wdrożono nieprzewidziane wcześniej działania.

Follo Line Project is one of the greatest currently conducted infrastructural project in Norway; its investor is a state-owned company responsible for the national railway infrastructure, Jernbaneverket. This undertaking includes building 22 kilometres of a new railway tracks between Oslo and Ski - the line will go through the tunnel for 20 kilometres out of 22. The author presents the project, analysing the necessary geotechnical works.

All seafarers I have met are concerned with their own safety and all serious shipping companies, national regulatory authorities, unions and larger shipping clients work to improve safety at sea. Formalised risk management systems are at the heart of these efforts, and there is good reason to believe that they have been very successful. One would therefore expect that seafarers had a positive attitude and were committed to their implementation. Empirical data suggests the opposite. During observational fieldworks over the last two and a half years, on eight different ships in Norway, Australia and Malaysia, not one of the observed seafarers expressed mainly positive opinions about the safety management systems imposed on them. The great majority of seafarers whose opinions have been recorded expressed massive negative sentiments. Assuming a Weberian perspective this paper explores how the bureaucratic implementation of such risk management systems may contribute to this picture.

Determining the correct attachment site for prepositional phrases is a difficult task for NLP systems. In this work we automatically extract unambiguous PP attachments from a Norwegian corpus and use them for semi-unsupervised training of a memory-based learner on the attachment disambiguation task. The performance of the system is similar to that of a related method which has previously been applied to English, but it obtains this performance level using a simpler and more flexible approach.
