Influence of the environmental pollution on the distribution of some elements on the cross-section of stem and branches wood of Norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) Distribution of manganese, chromium, iron, copper, lead, cadmium and strontium was analyzed on the cross-sections of stem and branches of Norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) gained from the crossroads of Towarowa and Platynowa street in Warsaw city center. Elements distribution was examined on the cross-sections from butt-end and top part of the stem and top-, middle- and stem adjacent part of branches. Basing of XRF analyzes the differences in particular elements distribution in the stem as well as in branches was stated.
