Artykuł powstał na podstawie pracy dyplomowej biorącej udział w konkursie „Na najlepszą pracę dyplomową z wykorzystaniem poliuretanów” zorganizowanym przez Polski Związek Inżynierów i Techników Budowlanych Koło nr 4 przy Politechnice Poznańskiej oraz Polski Związek Producentów i Przetwórców Izolacji Poliuretanowych PUR i PIR „SIPUR”. Głównymi celami opracowania było odtworzenie dokumentacji obiektu, ocena jego stanu technicznego, projekt zmiany układu funkcjonalno-użytkowego i zalecenia modernizacyjne, a przede wszystkim dotyczące termorenowacji przegród zgodnie z wymaganiami standardu NF40, z zastosowaniem dwóch materiałów izolacyjnych – wełny mineralnej i poliuretanu.

The article was based on the diploma thesis taking part in the competition "For the best diploma thesis using polyurethanes" organized by the Polish Association of Engineers and Construction Technicians Circle No. 4 at the Poznan University of Technology and the Polish Association of PUR and PIR manufacturers and processors "SIPUR". The main objectives of the study were inventory of the object, evaluation of its technical condition, design of the change of functional and utility system and modernization recommendations, especially thermal renovation of partitions in accordance with the requirements of the NF40 standard, comparing two insulation materials – mineral wool and polyurethane.

The article presents chosen aspects of designing and realization of low energy single-family houses fulfilling the requirements of the NF40 and NF15 standards as determined in the priority program of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management entitled „An improvement of energy effectiveness. Subsidies to low energy houses”. An analysis concerns the minimal technical requirements pertaining to the outside shape and internal structure of NF40 and NF15 buildings, in comparison with the building law recommendation on technical conditions to meet by buildings and their location. An attention was paid to chosen problems of fulfilling the requirements of the NF40 and NF15 standards and the need of applying modern structural and material solutions and to especially accurate realization.

The author describes the issue of low-energy construction, presents basic criteria for passive construction, as well as looks at zero-energy buildings and at the PHPP programme which is a basic tool for designing such buildings.
