This work is devoted to the environmental research conducted in the North of the Arctic Circle area of the Kola Peninsula. The area is located near White Sea gulf hills, and is covered with varied vegetation which has a relationship with altitudinal zonation and their geomorphology. Nearby the town of Kandalaksha is located the port with shipyard and other industrial plants situated nearby. A comparative study of lichens and rocks were provided in this study. The results showed a relationship in metals contents between rocks and selected lichens and the accumulation of other related environmental pollution.
