Marie and Pierre Curie are widely known as the discoverers of polonium and radium, as well as researchers of radioactivity. However, little is known about the places where they made breakthrough discoveries. Particularly famous is the shed located at 43 Lhomond Street, where the Curies carried out their pioneering work. Less known is the laboratory on Cuvier Street, where the Curies worked from 1904 until Pierre's tragic death. Marie Curie occupied this laboratory until 1914, when she moved to the Radium Institute at Pierre Curie Street, built especially for her needs. The laboratories where she learned experimental work are also important: in the sugar factory workshop in Krasiniec and the Museum of Industry and Agriculture in Warsaw. Another important issue is the "sensational news" related to the demolition that has been causing a stir in recent months, the so-called Pavillon des Sources (Pavilion of Sources).
