Continuous monitoring of natural seismicity in Poland with mobile seismic network has been carried out since 2008. Since September 2013 this task is being realized as a part of the Geodynamic Monitoring of Poland (GMP) project by the Institute of Geophysics of Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute. The PSG_Sejs_NET network, operating within the project, consists of 39 mobile and 2 permanent stations distributed among the entire area of Poland. Among them, 14 mobile stations are located in the area of Carpathian Mountains where the biggest number of tectonic earthquakes was described and detected in the past. Auxiliary, data from 7 broadband seismometers of the PLSN network is used for earthquake detection. In this paper the catalog of natural seismic events recorded in the period 1.01.2013-31.10.2023 by the stations of PSG_Sejs_NET network is presented. Tectonic earthquakes identified in this period within Polish borders include: 1) 140 events with local magnitudes ML = 0.2-2.7 which occurred in Podhale region (Orawa-Nowy Targ Basin), 2) 2 events with ML = 0.7 and ML =2.0 recorded in the area of Chochołowska Valley (Tatry Mts), 3) 1 event with ML = 2.7 located near Szczawnica city (Pieniny / Beskid Sądecki Mts), 4) 2 events with ML = 3.3 and ML = 2.9 recorded in the area of Krynica-Zdrój (Beskid Sądecki Mts), 5) 1 event with ML = 1.4 which occurred in the area of Grybów (Beskid Niski Mts / Różnów and Ciężkowice Foothills), 6) 2 events with ML = 1.7 and ML =2.0 localized in the area of Kamienica village (Gorce Mts). The biggest number of earthquakes was recorded in Podhale, which is the most seismically active region in Poland. The mean seismic activity in Podhale in the period 2013-2023 equals 1.06 event/30 days. Estimated magnitude of completeness for the 2008-2023 Podhale catalog equals MCL = 0.8. Recorded events instrumentally confirm the existence of tectonic seismicity in the Polish part of Carpathian Mountains, where natural earthquakes occurred also in the past. Apart from the mountain ranges already known for hosting tectonic seismicity, natural earthquakes have been identified for the first time in the area of Gorce Mountains. No tectonic earthquakes were recorded in the other regions of Poland with documented seismic history, i.e. Teisseyre’a-Tornquist Zone, Precambrian Platform, Sudetes and Sudeten Foreland. In this work we shortly describe natural seismicity in these regions basing on available historical catalogs and instrumental data. As a result, a map of tectonic earthquakes which occurred in the period 1496-2023 within Polish borders against a background of main geological units and faults is presented.
