IFTV to jedna z najbardziej skomplikowanych i wymagających usług realizowanych we współczesnych sieciach teleinformatycznych. Jej wdrożenie wiąże się z koniecznością spełnienia przez sieć operatora wielu wymagań dotyczących bezpieczeństwa, niezawodności, jakości, monitorowania sieci oraz zarządzania treścią. Przedstawiono architekturę sieci umożliwiającą świadczenie usługi IPTV.

IPTV is one of the most complicated and demanding services being introduced in fix networks. Successful deployment of IPTV requires that aspects like security, reliability quality of service, network and content management must be thoroughly planned and tested. This article presents range of topics related with IPTV service deployment in operators' networks.

W referacie przedstawiono ocenę warunków odbioru programów telewizji cyfrowej emitowanych w kanale 45 z dwóch nadajników zlokalizowanych na obszarze województwa lubuskiego w Radiowo - Telewizyjnym Centrum Nadawczym (RTCN) Jemiołów k/Łagowa i w Radiowo - Telewizyjnym Centrum Nadawczym (RTCN) Wichów k/Żagania. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych pomiarów natężenia pola w wyznaczonych Terenowych Punktach Pomiarowych (TPP) dokonano również porównania warunków odbioru programów telewizyjnych nadawanych analogowo i cyfrowo.

The paper presents an assessment of receiving conditions of digital television programmes broadcasted in the channel no 45 from two transmitters located on the area of the Lubuskie district in the RTCN (Radio & Television Transmitting Centre) Jemiołów near the city of Łagów and in the RTCN Wichów near the city of Żagań. In the introduction to the paper (Paragraph 1) the crucial significance of the transition from analogue to digital transmission of television programmes is indicated. Both in Europe and in Poland this transition is a result of international regulations and decisions made within the framework of Regional Radiocommunication Conferences (RRC) organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Most important of these regulations and decisions are presented in Paragraph 2. Paragraph 3 describes technical and operational conditions for digital emission of television programmes in the district of Lubuskie. In order to compare the reception possibility of analogue and digitally broadcasted television programmes in the district of Lubuskie, 13 Terrain Measurement Points (TPP) located along the border of the district were chosen (Paragraph 4). On the basis of conducted measurements of the field intensity level in the assigned TPP, an assessment of reception possibility of analogue and digitally broadcasted television programmes was made (Paragraph 5). The conclusions (Paragraph 6) contain the essential comparative data concerning reception conditions during the transition period of analogue and digitally broadcasted television programmes from both Radio & Television Transmitting Centres localised in the district of Lubuskie.

Termin "samopodobieństwo" oznacza pewną właściwość, która zwykle kojarzy się z fraktalami: obiekt odniesienia zostaje powielony na wielu skalach - skalach geometrycznych w geometrii fraktalnej, skalach czasu w przypadku samopodobnych szeregów czasowych (jak np. samopodobny ruch telekomunikacyjny) - lecz obraz obiektu pozostaje niezmieniony. W artykule została przedstawiona analiza samopodobieństwa ruchu wideo MPEG-4. Wyniki pokazują, że samopodobieństwo ruchu generowanego na podstawie sekwencji filmowych kodowanych w standardzie MPEG-4 zależy zarówno od zawartości materiału filmowego, jak i od jakości obrazu oryginalnego.

The term "selfsimilarity" denotes a certain property, which usually is associated with fractals: the reference object is repeated over many scales - geometrical scales in fractal geometry, temporal scales in case of selfsimilar time series (e.g. selfsimilar teletraffic) - but the object structure stays unchanged. In the paper, an analysis of selfsimilar properties of MPEG-4 video traffic is presented. Results shows, that selfsimilarity of an MPEG-encoded sequence depends both on video content and the picture quality.
