The manuscript deals with the assessment of Radio over Fiber (RoF) system including pure electrical baseband, pure radio frequency band centered around 60 GHz, and hybrid radiooptical system at the same RF band using a global simulation. In this work we focus on RoF solution to improve the low coverage of the 60 GHz channel caused by high free-space attenuation. A realistic co-simulation of the Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) IEEE802.15.3c-RoF was performed in a residential environment for Line-Of-Sight (LOS) and Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS). In this work, we demonstrated a 60 GHz radio on Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF) using Optical Carrier Suppression (OCS) modulation. The BER (Bit Error Ratio) performance of this system is measured by varying the following parameters: optical launched power, fiber length, modulation format, Channel coding and Signal to Noise Ratio. We show that the RoF at 60 GHz can reach a minimum of 300 m of MMF without optical amplifiers followed by a 5 m wireless transmission with BER less than 10⁻³ in the LOS and NLOS environments.

We investigate an alternative 100G solution for optical short-range data center links. The presented solution adopts wavelength division multiplexing technology to transmit four channels of 25G over a multimode fiber. A comparative performance analysis of the wavelength-grid selection for the wavelength division multiplexing data link is reported. The analysis includes transmissions over standard optical multimode fiber (OM): OM2, OM3 and OM4.

Transplantology is getting more and more important in medicine. Development of surgical techniques and immunosuppressive treatment enabled to establish successful transplantations with various organs and tissues. However, allografts are recognized as foreign tissues and stimulate rejection, i.e. a strong immunological response which, if not stopped, results in complete destruction of the transplanted tissue. In order to prevent the rejection patients have to be treated with immunosuppressive drugs after transplantation. Unfortunately, such a damping of immune system poses a risk of cancer or severe infections. The treatment itself is also toxic, notably when applied in a long-term maintenance therapy. Currently, adverse effects of immunosuppressive drugs are recognized as the ones to be involved significantly in chronic rejection and limitation of long survival of grafted tissues. Whereas prevention of acute rejection is mostly successful, there is still no efficient treatment for chronic graft rejection. Reduction of a dose of immunosuppressive drugs or an invention of new active substances is considered the most promising solution. Nowadays, immunosuppressive drugs can be divided into the three main groups: agents which inhibit production of cytokines taking part in cells’ activation (glicocorticosteroids, calcineurine inhibitors, mTOR inhibitors), antiproliferative compounds (azathiopirin, mycophenolate mofetil, mycophenolic acid sodium salt), and antibodies. In this article we present new investigations towards immunosuppressive drugs, their structures and synthetic methods.

W artykule przedstawiono sposób wyznaczania przestrzennej siły magnetomotorycznej (SMM) w umyślonej maszynie prądu przemiennego o nieskończonej ilości faz. Zaproponowano trójwymiarowe przedstawienie przebiegów - trzecim wymiarem jest czas jednego obrotu fali SMM. Metoda pozwala wyznaczyć płaszczyznę SMM w zależności od konstrukcji uzwojeń maszyny, ilości faz i kształtu przebiegów zasilających. Dokonano transformacji przebiegów otrzymując przejrzyste rysunki 3D o dużej zawartości informacyjnej. Porównano przebiegi SMM dla m = ∞ z przebiegami silnika trójfazowego (m=3). Zaproponowano analizę płaszczyzn SMM jako metodę oceny jakości napędu, w szczególności wielkiej mocy, ze względu na zawartość harmonicznych pasożytniczych.

This paper presents MMF analysis in multiphase machine with infinity number of phases. MMF 3D shapes with third dimension: time of MMF reverse was proposed. The shapes depends on winding construction and supply shapes. Through transformation, figures are clear and informative. Comparing of shapes for different AC drives, especially with machine with infinitive number of phases as a reference, is a method for investigation of torque pulsation properties.
