Estimation of state variables of the drive system with elastic joint using moving horizon estimation (MHE)

The article presents issues related to the application of a moving horizon estimator for state variables reconstruction in an advanced control structure of a drive system with an elastic joint. Firstly, a short review of the commonly used methods for state estimation in presented. Then, a description of a state controller structure follows. The design methodology based on the poles-placement method is briefly described. Next, the mathematical algorithm of MHE is presented and some crucial features of MHE are analysed. Then, selected simulation and experimental results are shown and described. The investigation shows, among others, the influence of window length on the quality of state variables estimation.

W referacie przedstawiono analizę wpływu parametrów napędu dwumasowego na poprawność pracy estymatora z ruchomym oknem (Moving Horizon Estimation). We wstępie omówiono zagadnienia związane z potrzebą wyznaczenie niemierzalnych zmiennych stanu napędu z połączeniem sprężystym oraz wykorzystywane do tego celu metody. W kolejnych rozdziałach omówiono model napędu oraz zasadę estymacji z przesuwanym oknem. W rozdziale trzecim zaprezentowano wpływ niedokładności wyznaczenia parametrów na jakość estymacji.

The paper presents an analysis of the impact of the dual mass drive parameter estimator for the proper operation of the moving window. The introduction provides issues related to the need to appoint unmeasured state variables in drive with elastic coupling and used method for this purpose. In the following chapters, presents a model of the drive, and the principle of estimation of the sliding window. The third chapter presents the impact of inaccuracies designation parameters on the quality of the estimation.
