The involvement of Polish Military Contingents in various peacekeeping operations carried out outside the territory of Poland requires procurement of high resolution geospatial data for all potential conflict areas, terrorist organisationsactivities and natural disaster areas. Various international cooperation programmes provide effective means to deal with such a challenge. To this point, the success of the global Vmap L1 production programme resulted in launching a new international project . Multinational Geospatial Co-production Programme (MGCP). It is a solemn intention of the military geospatial agencies representing 28 countries to complete within the period of 2006.2011 the production of vector maps with the information accuracy level relevant to topographic maps at scales 1:50 000 . 1:100 000 for previously agreed areas of interest. The orthophotomap made on the basis of up-to-date, high resolution satellite imagery will serve as a main data source. Once finally elaborated, the MGCP data will be transferred to International Geospatial Warehouse(IGW), from where the programme participants will be able to exchange data according to the procedures adopted.
