The increase in the use of filaments for special technical purposes requires the prediction of their durability at the action of various types of loads, and among other things, under the constant load acting in time. Currently, for such purpose the load-testers with additional equipment and software are used [1,2,3]. Unfortunately. these methods are very time consuming in view of the possibility of testing at given moment only the one sample at usually long length of test`s time. Therefore, in Chair of Textile Metrology, was worked out and built the eight-position gauge DURAMETR for measuraments the changes of textiles` elongation under the constant loads. For registration of the elongation`s changes was worked out the computer programme on the basis of the software LabView made by National Instruments. To verify the precision of DURAMETR additionally were done the parallel series of measurements using INSTRON tester with the program for cyclic tests. The analysis of correlation coefficients between results obtained using DURAMETR and INSTRON was drawn.
