The abandoned Klecza–Radomice gold mining area in the Kaczawskie Mountains is prospective for new occurrences of vein-type gold deposits. Research of sulphide ore samples from old mining wastes confirmed a rich gold abundance in this area. Chemical bulk-rock analyses proved a high content of gold (up to 60 ppm Au) and a common occurrence of microscopic gold (mainly electrum). The application of geophysical VLF surveys showed a number of linear anomalies indicating the possibility of the emergence of new ore veins between the areas of former mining exploitation. This area is very promising for gold prospecting and should be the subject of further geophysical research using the induced polarization method (IP), and verified by shallow prospecting drillings. Execution of this type of comprehensive exploration and research work would open a completely new stage of prospecting for primary gold deposits in the Sudetes.

Ocena atrakcyjności doliny Kaczawy, na wyszczególnionym odcinku, wykazała dużą zmienność przypisanych punktom ocen w zależności od mezoregionu geograficznego. Na obszarze mezoregionu Gór Kaczawskich, na zwiększoną atrakcyjność krajobrazu ogromny wpływ można było przypisać urozmaiconej w wielu miejscach rzeźbie terenu, ukazującej się między innymi w postaci ciekawych form geomorfologiczno-geologicznych. W miarę posuwania się wyznaczoną trasą w kierunku północnym, czyli w stronę mezoregionu Pogórza Kaczawskiego i bezpośrednio na nim, główne elementy krajobrazu, które decydowały o jego atrakcyjności związane były przede wszystkim z elementami środowiska antropogenicznego. Metoda, którą posłużono się w celu przeprowadzenia atrakcyjności krajobrazu to metoda krzywej wrażeń Wejcherta. Za najbardziej interesujące fragmenty doliny uznano: Jezioro Kaczorowskie, Górę Miłek i Połom, centrum Świerzawy, Kościół Romański w Świerzawie oraz odsłonięcie porfirów „Organy Wielisławskie” w Sędziszowej.

Evaluation of the attractiveness of Kaczawa valley on the specified episode showed high volatility ratings are assigned points based on geographic mesoregion. In the area of mesoregion Kaczawskie Mountains, the increased attractiveness of the landscape biggest impact could be attributed varied in many places in the terrain relief, showing up among interesting geological and geomorphological forms. As the advance of the designated route to the north, that is, toward the mesoregion Kaczawa Foothills and directly on it, elements of the landscape, which decided about his attractiveness were associated primarily with elements of anthropogenic environment. The method which was used to carry out the attractiveness of the landscape is a method of curve Wejchert experience. The most interesting parts of the valley were: The Kaczorowskie lake, mount Miłek and Połom center of Świerzawa, Romanesque church in Swierzawa and the unveiling of porfires “Wielislaw Organ”.

Content of colchicine in corms and edaphic conditions of Colchicum autumnale L. from Kaczawskie Mountains (Poland)

The chemical properties and colchicine content in Colchicum autumnale corms from sites localized in Kaczawskie Mountains (Poland) were studied. The colchicine in corms differs significantly and depends on chemical properties of the soils. This dependence is confirmed by the calculated significant correlations between colchicine content and soil pH, Ca, Mn and Fe content.
