The authors in this publication present the concept of control system for the console operator to manage mobile robot platform and its components. Implemented functionality provides the ability to set the robot in different modes. The operator can control the state of robot using simple commands, and is also able to carry more complex tasks. The applied layered software architecture and Object-oriented programming (OOP) allows for easy management of software, maintenance, reusability and its further development.

Praca dotyczy symulacji i implementacji trybów teleoperacji i semiautonomii na robocie IBIS. Opisano w niej konstrukcję robota i zastosowane na nim czujniki. Przedstawiono algorytm służący do realizacji trybu semiautonomii. Omówiono środowisko symulacyjne oraz przebieg badań symulacyjnych robota z zastosowaniem pakietu Matlab/Simulink i przybornika Simulink 3D Animation. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań eksperymentalnych przeprowadzonych na robocie IBIS.

The work presented in this study is concerned on a subject of simulation and implementation of teleoperation and semiauthonomy mode for mobile robot IBIS. The construction of the robot as well as used sensors have been described. The unique algorithm for semiauthonomy mode has been elaborated and depicted here. Software simulation environment based on Matlab/Simulink package with Simulink 3D Animation toolbox and research activity has been presented as wellas practical experimental results of proposed method for real, outdoor conditions of IBIS operation.
