W miejscowościach uzdrowiskowych położonych w dolinie Prutu na Huculszczyźnie zachował się duży, niezwykle interesujący, zespół obiektów powstałych w okresie międzywojennym. Związane są one zarówno z architekturą modernistyczną jak i nurtami regionalnymi. Praca przedstawia i analizuje wybrane przykłady aranżacji wnętrz reprezentujących te dwie tendencje. Zagadnienie to było niemal całkowicie pominięte w dotychczasowych badaniach nad architekturą tego regionu. Prowadzone przez autora studia terenowe i archiwalne pozwoliły zidentyfikować szereg projektów i realizacji. Badania będą kontynuowane w przyszłości.

In the spa towns located in the Prut valley in the Hutsul region, a large, extremely interesting complex of facilities built in the interwar period has been preserved. They are associated with both modernist architecture and regional trends. The work presents and analyses selected examples of interior design representing these two trends. This issue has been almost completely ignored in previous research on the architecture of this region. The field and archival studies conducted by the author made it possible to identify a number of projects and implementations. Research will be continued in the future.

timber structure erected ca. 1930 in the valley of the Prut River in the Hutsul region. Several facilities of this kind were constructed there at that time, with total capacity of over 80 visitors at a time. “Znicz” Railwayman Family Association’s guesthouse was commissioned in Tatarów. Tax Officials Society constructed the “Skarbówka” guesthouse in Worochta. In Jaremcze-Jamna, “Gorgany” Health House of the Association of Tax Control Officials of the Republic of Poland began its operations. In mid- 1930s, guesthouse for the Association of Ukrainian Teachers was designed in the same town.

Artykuł prezentuje Sanatorium Policji Państwowej w Tatarowie w kontekście innych dużych obiektów o drewnianej konstrukcji powstałych około 1930 r. w dolinie Prutu na Huculszczyźnie. W tym czasie powstało tam kilka budynków mogących jednorazowo przyjąć ponad 80 kuracjuszy. W Tatarowie oddano do użytku dom wypoczynkowy „Znicz” Stowarzyszenia Rodziny Kolejowej. Towarzystwo Urzędników Skarbowych wybudowało dom wypoczynkowy „Skarbówka” w Worochcie. W Jaremczu – Jamna rozpoczął działalność Dom Zdrowia Stowarzyszenia Urzędników Kontroli Skarbowej Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej „Gorgany”. W połowie lat 30. zaprojektowano w tej samej miejscowości dom wypoczynkowy dla Stowarzyszenia Nauczycieli Ukraińskich.

W miejscowościach uzdrowiskowych położonych w dolinie rzeki Prut na Huculszczyźnie zachował się mało znany lecz niezwykle interesujący zespół historycznych założeń urbanistyczno-architektonicznych powstałych w pierwszej połowie ubiegłego stulecia. Badania terenowe i archiwalne w miejscowościach Jaremcze, Tatarów i Worochta doprowadziły do rozpoznania i częściowej inwentaryzacji tego zespołu. Jego postępująca degradacja wymaga stworzenia realnych propozycji ochrony i rewitalizacji.

The spa towns situated in the valley of the river Prut in the Hutsul region preserved a little-known but extremely interesting set of historical urban and architectural layouts dating back to the first half of the previous century. Field and archival studies in the towns of Yaremche, Tatariv and Vorokhta led to its identification and partial inventory. The progressive degradation of this resource requires the creation of viable proposals for its conservation and revitalization.

The spa towns situated in the valley of the river Prut in the Hutsul region preserved a little-known but extremely interesting set of historical urban and architectural layouts dating back to the first half of the previous century. Considering the progressing destruction of the multicultural landscape of this region, the need to identify and register them is becoming urgent. Neither the historical architectural objects nor their immediate surrounding are covered by any form of institutional protection. Very often the inhabitants did not identify with the region and they lost their sense of their identity It seems necessary to create legal provisions for their protection and to establish guiding principles for the process of their restoration.

W miejscowościach uzdrowiskowych położonych w dolinie rzeki Prut na Huculszczyźnie zachował się mało znany, lecz niezwykle interesujący zespół historycznych założeń urbanistyczno-architektonicznych powstałych w pierwszej połowie ubiegłego stulecia. W obliczu postępującej destrukcji wielokulturowego krajobrazu tego regionu potrzeba ich rozpoznania i ewidencji wydaje się niezwykle pilna. Zarówno historyczne obiekty architektoniczne, jak i ich otoczenie, nie są objęte ochrona konserwatorską. Nastąpił wyraźny zanik poczucia tożsamości i identyfikacji mieszkańców z regionem. Konieczne wydaje się szybkie stworzenie form prawnych ochrony i zasad postępowania w procesie rewaloryzacji.

Huculszczyzna jest regionem, w którym występują wszystkie architektoniczne tendencje stylistyczne typowe dla zabudowy uzdrowiskowej Karpat końca XIX w. i I połowy XX w. Istnieją tam budowle reprezentujące zarówno formy historyczne, style regionalne, secesję,styl dworkowy, jak i modernizm. Praca przedstawia wybrane przykłady murowanej architektury modernistycznej powstałej w dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym na terenie miejscowości Worochta i Tatarów. Omawiane budowle reprezentują różne nurty modernizmu i są świadectwem obecności tego stylu w zdominowanej przez regionalizm architekturze wybranych miejscowości uzdrowiskowych Karpat Wschodnich.

Hutsul Region is a place where all of architectural stylistic tendencies typical for health resort buildings, from the end of 19th and first half of 20th century, of Carpathian Mountains appear. You can find there buildings representing historical forms as well as regional styles, art nouveau, manorial style and modernism. The text presents selected examples of modernist stone/brick architecture constructed in the twenty interwar years in the towns of Worochta and Tatarów. Described health resorts buildings represent different modernistic trends and are the witnesses of their presence in the dominated by regional styles architecture in the eastern Carpathian Mountains.

Na terenie Huculszczyzny występują wszystkie tendencje architektoniczne typowe dla zabudowy uzdrowiskowej Karpat końca XIX wieku i pierwszej połowy XX stulecia. Dominującą stylistyką był zawsze regionalizm oparty na tradycyjnych formach miejscowych. W dniu dzisiejszym widoczny jest brak zrozumienia istotnych elementów przestrzeni kulturowej regionu zapewniających poczucie ciągłości tożsamości oraz identyfikacji z miejscem. Brak tych elementów, spotęgowany czynnikami ekonomicznymi, powoduje narastającą degradację krajobrazu architektonicznego centrów Jaremcza, Tatarowa oraz Worochty.

Hutsul Region is a place where all of architectural stylistic tendencies, from the end of 19th and first half of 20th century, typical for health resort buildings of Carpathian Mountains appeared. Regional tendencies dominated until 90th of 20 c. There is no understanding of identity and lack of integrity in architecture nowadays. It caused a deterioration of the cultural environment of Jaremcze, Tatarów and Worochta towns.
