Celem artykułu było przedstawienie Lotniczego Pogotowia Ratunkowego jako elementu systemu ratownictwa medycznego w Polsce na tle rozwiązań austriackich i szwajcarskich. Dobór państw miał charakter celowy. W artykule wykorzystano dostępne dane wtórne pochodzące z literatury przedmiotu, roczników i raportów GUS, baz danych Eurostatu, sprawozdań i informacji organizacji świadczących usługi w zakresie ratownictwa lotniczego, Zgromadzone dane na temat sytuacji w Szwajcarii uzupełniono informacjami uzyskanymi od Szwajcarskiej Służby Ratownictwa Lotniczego Rega oraz podczas staży w Szwajcarii. Zebrane dane poddano analizie porównawczej. Obliczono również wskaźniki dynamiki w celu pokazania zmian, jakie nastąpiły w analizowanych krajach. Stwierdzono, że ratownictwo lotnicze jest ważnym element logistycznego systemu ratownictwa medycznego w Polsce, Austrii i Szwajcarii. Analizując podsystemy logistyczne, szczególnie transportu i infrastruktury w Polsce w oparciu o wybrane wskaźniki, stwierdzono, że w porównaniu z Austrią i Szwajcarią są one słabsze, ale na etapie dynamicznego rozwoju.

The aim of the article was to present the Helicopter Medical Emergency Rescue Service as an element of the system of medical rescue compared to the solutions in Austria and Switzerland. The selection of the countries was of random character. In the article, there were used the dull data from the literature of subject, annuals and reports of GUS, the databases of Eurostat, reports and information of the organization providing the services helicopter medical rescue. The gathered data on the situation in Switzerland were completed by the information obtained from the Rega Swiss Service of Medical Rescue and during internships in Switzerland. The gathered data were subjected to the comparison analysis. There were also calculated the ratios of dynamics in order to present the changes that have been noticed during the last few years. It was determined that the helicopter medical rescue is a significant element of the logistics system of medical rescue in Poland, Austria and Switzerland. While analyzed, the logistics subsystems, particularly transport and infrastructure in Poland on the basis of selected ratios, it was determined that, in comparison to Austria and Switzerland these are weaker, but on the stage of dynamics development.
