W artykule przedstawiony został krótki rys historyczny lotniczego ratownictwa medycznego w Polsce. Scharakteryzowana została Śmigłowcowa Służba Ratownictwa Medycznego w zakresie podstawowych zadań oraz możliwości. Przedstawiono także znaczenie zaangażowania w pracę, w kontekście efektywności organizacji oraz postaw wobec pracy. W empirycznej części artykułu zaprezentowano wyniki badań poziomu i związku zaangażowania w pracę z satysfakcją z pracy, wartościami związanymi z pracą, sumiennością i identyfikacją z zespołem pracowniczym wśród personelu Lotniczego Pogotowia Ratunkowego (LPR). Badanie przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem Kwestionariusza Zaangażowania w Pracę autorstwa R. Kanungo, kwestionariusza Satysfakcji z pracy skonstruowanego na podstawie narzędzia L. Bettencourta, K. Gwinnera i M. Meuera, skali Identyfikacji z zespołem pracowniczym z Kwestionariusza Klimatu Organizacyjnego W. Paluchowskiego, skali Sumienności z Inwentarza Osobowości NEO-FFI Paula Costy i Roberta McCrae oraz Karty wyboru wartości A. PaszkowskiejRogacz. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że personel LPR jest w wysokim stopniu zaangażowany w pracę, a zaangażowanie to powiązane jest między innymi z identyfikacją z zespołem pracowniczym oraz potrzebą rozwoju, awansu i kierowania innymi. Wnioski praktyczne z badań przedstawione zostały w dyskusji.

The article is a brief historical overview of air medical emergency in Poland. It characterizes Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for basic tasks and capabilities. It also introduces the importance of commitment to work in the context of organization efficacy and work attitudes. The empirical part of the paper presents the test results of the relationship and commitment to work with job satisfaction, work-related values, conscientiousness, identification with a team of Staff among the staff of the Air Rescue Service. The study was conducted using a questionnaire on Involvement in work by R. Kanungo questionnaire Satisfaction with work constructed on the basis of tools by L. Bettencourt, K. Gwinner and M. Meuer, scale identification with the team Staff of the Organizational Climate Questionnaire by W. Paluchowski, Conscientiousness scale of Inventory NEO-FFI personality by Paul Costa and Robert McCrae and the Charter of the choice by A. Paszkowska-Rogacz. The study, among others, shows that the HEMS staff is highly involved in the work and that it demonstrates high commitment, identification of the band Staff, need for the development, promotion and directing others. Practical conclusions from the study are presented in the discussion.

In 2008, the Polish Medical Air Rescue started replacing its fleet with modern EC135 machines. To ensure the maximum possible safety of the missions performed both in the period of implementing the change and later on, the management prepared a strategy of training its crews to use the new type of helicopter. The analysis of incidents that occurred during 2006–2009 showed that both the human and the technical factors must be carefully considered. Moreover, a risk analysis was conducted to reduce the risk both during general crew training and in the course of particular flight operations. A four-stage strategy of training pilots and crew members was worked out by weighing up all the risks. The analysis of data from 2010 to 2013 confirmed that the risk connected with flying and with all the activities involved in direct support aircraft operations is under control and lowered to an acceptable level.

Opisano organizację Samodzielnego Publicznego Zakładu Opieki Zdrowotnej „Lotniczego Pogotowia Ratunkowego": - strukturę, - HEMS (śmigłowcowa służba ratownictwa medycznego) w SP ZOZ LPR, - bazy HEMS w Polsce (obecne i planowane). - zadania wykonywane przez zespoly HEMS, - medyczne powody uzasadniajgce wezwanie zespołu HEMS, - sposoby wzywania zespołów HEMS, - sprzęt lotniczy (śmigłowce) stosowany przez zespoły HEMS obecnie, - statystykę wykonanych zadań przez zespoły HEMS w Polsce w latach ubiegłych, - EC-135 nowy smiglowiec dla polskiego HEMS-u.

This article presents a short history of the use of helicopters in the Sanitary Aviation in Poland. It describes the organization of the Independent Public Welfare Health Department "Air Ambulance Service": - the structure, - HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) in SP ZOZ the LPR (League of Polish Families), - HEMS bases in Poland (present and planned), - the tasks carried out by the HEMS teams, - medical causes justifying usage of HEMS team, - the methods of summoning the HEMS teams, - airborne equipment (helicopters) used presently by the HEMS teams, - statistics of performed jobs through the HEMS teams in Poland in the last years, - EC-135 - the new helicopter for the Polish HEMS.
