W pracy przedstawiono rezultaty korekcji kątów HPR (Heading, Pitch i Roll) z użyciem filtracji Kalmana, metody wielomianowej oraz metody trygonometrycznej. Eksperyment badawczy przeprowadzono z użyciem surowych wartości kątów Heading, Pitch i Roll, zarejestrowanych przez urządzenie Trimble UX-5. W artykule przedstawiono algorytmy korekcji kątów HPR oraz opisano konfigurację parametrów wejściowych dla każdej metody badawczej. Kod źródłowy programu i obliczenia numeryczne zostały wykonane w edytorze Scilab 5.4.1.

In the paper, results of correction Heading, Pitch and Roll angles with using Kalman filtering method, polynomial method and trigonometric method were presented. The research test was realized using the raw data of Heading, Pitch and Roll angles, which are register by Trimble UX-5 platform. In the paper, algorithms of correction Heading, Pitch and Roll angles were presented and configuration of initial parameters in each research method was described. The source code of program and numerical computations were executed in Scilab 5.4.1 software.

Gyroscopic compass, the main source of information about the heading on modern ship, is celebrating its centenary. In fact, nowadays it is commonly used on the ships in the form invented by Herman Anschutz before the Second Word War. However in the last decade we observe stormy evolution of completely different installations, which may substitute the well known gyro. Different kinds of devices, which could be used for heading determination, will be shortly presented and classified. Author’s thesis is that the new solutions are better than the old ones, nevertheless at the moment they are not in use only because of the mariners’ conservatism.
